Job Description
You will be part of a cross-functional, self-organizing agile squad to support the design, development and integration, automation, testing and deployment of a public sector national system.
In your capacity as the PEGA Engineer/Senior Engineer in the squad, you will be working closely with Squad Tech Lead and Functional Lead, and other PEGA engineers to deliver the most quality of work for new features.
You should be skilled in designing, coding, testing, and implementation of configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
• Designing and developing Pega BPM applications.
• Work on Sprint Backlog JIRAs and work with Functional & Tech Lead to understand the task, get all the required clarification done.
• Assess and implement new features in good quality and with test covered.
• Designing class structures, application frameworks, and data models.
• Coordinating with the project team to ensure the business architecture matches the needs of the customer.
• Integrating business databases, legacy systems, and web services.
• Troubleshooting application issues, coding bugs, and bottlenecks.
• Integration of technical and application components to meet business requirements
• Designing, coding and testing program modules that meet design specifications
• Maintaining, tuning and repairing applications to keep them performing in accordance to technical and functional specifications; perform preventive maintenance activities; providing user support
• Implement Pega Best Practices while developing on Pega Platform.
• Showcase and review the new changes together with team members.
• Actively work with other development and product owners to solve challenges.
• Able to provide guidance, peer review and coaching of fellow team members.
• Carry out feasibility studies and impact analysis for new feature.
• Pro-actively contribute innovative ideas for improvements.
• Evaluate, select and formulate best solution for technical spike cards.
• Support production environment and attend the escalated issues if required.
Additional Requirements :
Certification: At least certified Pega System Architect (8.x); Preferably Pega Senior System Architect (8.x)
Core Technology / Delivery knowledge: Work experience using Pegasystems framework, and good knowledge with full lifecycle Pega implementations (Pega 8.x) Demonstrated understanding/experience of various Pega Rules components including: Case Management, Job Schedulers, Queue Processors, Listeners, DX API, UI, Activities and Flows, Declaratives, Decision, Validation, Reports, Correspondences Understanding in Log Analysis and Performance Tuning Familiar with Clipboard, Tracer, PLA, Alerts, AES Show work responsibility, excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment, attention to detail, critical thinking, and solid communication skills.
Scrum Agile methodology experienced on project delivered using Scrum.
