ROLE

The Planner collaborates with other planners, architects, and project team members to design, coordinate, and present ideas relating to a variety of resort, residential, mixed-use and urban planning and design projects. The Planner supports the team in the overall efforts of completing the various phases of a project, creating programs and plans for land use and development. The Planner reports to a designated senior member of the Planning Studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts project research and analysis, and completes assignment using research, analysis and critical thinking

• Coordinates the production and delivery of planning activities for several complex projects, including research and design development on all phases of the project

• Completes project activities, documents and products, presentations and deliverables

• Assures the efficient preparation of detailed drawings through concept design and design development to construction documentation phases on assigned projects

• Produces working drawings, design sketches, diagrams, schedules and other computer generated or hand-drawn documents

• Creates design sketches and planning layouts and completes presentations and report packages

• Directs and provides guidance to less experienced members of the team in the production of design concepts and oversees their production

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in urban design, urban planning, architecture, or landscape architecture

• Working toward a professional registration

• Environmental accreditation preferred

• 4+ years of experience in urban design, urban planning, or resort planning

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp

• Knowledge of Rhino and Revit, and any programming language

• Basic database knowledge and experience in GIS geodatabases, Microsoft Access, or SQL

The Technical Designer is part of the design team from the beginning and assists in making sure the design intent from concept is carried out in the detailing stage. He/She will be supporting the designer in selection of materials and systems,further the design resolution of details, specification reviews and/or writing, local building code compliance and analysis of the same in the International Building Code as requested by the project/client/operator; ultimately responsibility is in the quality control review of project documents. • Understand the mainstream GPGPU architecture and their design choice
• Using existing ML or HPC background to propose the possible architecture improvements and exploration possibilities
• Can deeply understand the programming model of each architecture and its impacts and influence on eco-system
