The position reports to the Studio Director or Managing Principal.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates, develops, and implements project design concepts and documents for one or more projects from the Concept through Design Development phases
• Supports the resolution of design solutions during the Construction Documents and Construction Administration phases
• Confirms that the design follows the contractual agreement with the client and that the project is on schedule and within budget
• Develops solutions to technical and design detail problems following established standards
• Develops effective solutions to design problems that meet project goals
• Verifies that project needs and design intent are met by effectively managing the efficient utilization of resources
• Monitors initial design through completion of construction, and may assist with construction documents
• Oversees the design team in ensuring that documentation for all phases conforms to quality assurance, quality control, and best practice standards
• Attends on-site visits and client meetings to verify design requirements and deliver progress reviews
• Supports the marketing and business development activities of the office when needed
• Fosters a commitment to positive, and productive internal and external client relationships and service

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Professional license preferred
• Environmental accreditation preferred
• 10+ years of experience designing small to mid-size architectural projects, including urban and resort hotels, mixed-use and renovation projects
• Proficiency in software skills, including Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Sketch-Up
• Strong proficiency in Revit
• Sketching skills required
• Experienced in client management and negotiations
• Effective project management skills, keeping within established deadlines and budgets
• Works successfully in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Travel may be required

· Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate fabrication according to artwork specifications and incorporate feedback from the production team into artwork revisions.

· Conduct quality checks on final products to ensure compliance with client requirements.

· Coordinate projects to facilitate smooth implementation.

· Assist in the movement of materials/equipment to and from project sites.

· Maintain active communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring timely feedback consolidation to achieve project objectives within contractual deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets.

· Adhere to safety and quality assurance procedures and standards.

· Cultivate positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

· Prepare and submit necessary documentation for regulatory approvals before project commencement, including testing, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance activities.

· Interpret design briefs from salespersons or clients to understand their needs and develop artwork concepts tailored to their requirements.

· Utilize design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, Flexi, CorelDraw, etc.) to create signage shop drawings and detailed structures.

· Prepare final artwork for production and printing purposes.

· Coordinate with the production team to ensure they can fabricate according to the provided artwork.

· Conduct quality checks during the production process to ensure that fabrication meets the client's specifications.

· Perform quality checks on the final products before delivery

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining design quality and accuracy.

· Manage project correspondence and documentation efficiently.

· Oversee site and office project management, including inspections, handovers, site measurements, and coordination among various departments (graphics, production, finance, logistics).

· Monitor site installations and report on work progress.

· Maintain and update project files and reports regularly.

· Perform other adhoc duties as and when assigned by the Company.

Requirements

- Graduate with majors in Design with focus on product design skills.

- Proficient in Autocad, Rhino 3D

- Good knowledge of 3D modelling software and character creation

- Experience with design programs like Illustrator

- Exhibits a detail-oriented approach to design.

- Strong sense of ownership, results driven with problem solving skills
