Job Description

Responsibilities

• Strong familiarity with BOM and multi-level BOM structure for semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
• Prompt and accurate project analysis, demand loading, change management and project management leading to project closure with focus on required deliverables at each milestone leading to successful project closure and on-time delivery for all shipments
• Plan and prepare production schedules for respective production lines according to established and committed manufacturing milestones and Build Plan
• Lead and drive all related functions to meet on-time to Assy Start Date, on-time to PMCD and on-time delivery.
• Strong understanding and ability to manage Engineering Changes and configuration changes in an SAP PLM environment
• Strong team player with hands-on approach, strong ability to drive and manage escalations, drive priority calls for slot swaps and material allocation while supporting day-to-day operations with close follow-up on all outstanding issues in order to mitigate all risks to OTD
• Act as key point of contact between Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Warehouse and BPS/Shipping on matters pertaining to assigned projects, with excellent ability to engage internal/external departments as deemed necessary
• Support on-going continuous improvement programs and process enhancements in an evolving and dynamic business environment
• Implement continuous process improvement through planning, evaluating, verifying and executing procedures to ensure that products meet all customer requirements in terms of cycle time and shipment delivery

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equvialent
• Minimum 5 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing or in a low volume high mix manufacturing environment
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams
• Experience in SAP MM or SAP PLM, Microsoft Excel and Power BI
• Good with numbers, detailed and meticulous
• Methodological approach with good understanding of business processes

Job Description

• Lead the Global Operations (GOPS) team (Manufacturing, Production Planning, Procurement, and Quality Engineering) with emphasis on manufacturing processes, cycle time, assembly sequence, and quality.
• Provide engineering support in resolving daily operation issues in semiconductor equipment manufacturing, through collaboration with a team of multidisciplined manufacturing engineers, manufacturing supervisors and technicians.
• Achieve daily targets on product delivery to global customers in alignment with manufacturing engineering strategies, production schedules, quality and safety standards.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and deviations, provide immediate containment actions, and pursue long term corrective solutions.
• Actively engage with Business Units (BU) to influence Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts in reducing labor cost and material cost to meet the overall product cost targets at different Product Life Cycle (PLC) phases
• Prepare and present on Manufacturing capabilities, strategies and readiness to meet product lead time and cost targets from BU in new product toll gate review meetings.
• Constantly engage Field Support and BUs to build the capability of the Engineering team on the equipment and process knowledge of ASM equipment.
• Define and create manufacturing procedures, build sequence, methods, and quality documentation (i.e. work instructions, test procedures, inspection checklists, etc.) according to material and assembly specifications
• Drive timely solutions for the suppliers, contract manufacturing, and internal manufacturing by liaising with cross functional teams in GOPS and BU
• Lead the execution of continuous improvement projects on quality, cost, capacity, and efficiency enhancement with cross functional teams in GOPS and BU
• Deliver tooling and test equipment according to product requirements, with innovations in meeting manufacturing efficiency and customer quality

Prerequisites

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment with technical experience on manufacturing and production activities.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience within the Semiconductor/Capital Equipment industry in Manufacturing, Quality or engineering roles in equipment assembly and test
• Knowledge on material fabrication processes, component installation, sub-assembly and final assembly integration, preferably for CVD/ALD/Epitaxy equipment
• Understanding on Bill of Material structure (Product structure, Generic vs. Customization, Options and Kits) and revision changes
• Prior experience in implementing DFM and Lean concepts through manufacturing engineering; Modular assemblies, Feeder lines, Off-line assemblies, flow line, automation solutions, data analytics, and digitization.
• Knowledge of new product introduction, PLC processes, Engineering Change workflows, and Change Control requirements
• Experience in working and interfacing with cross functional teams. Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional organization and drive changes.

Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in timely completion of production plan in maintaining and improving workmanship standards
• Scheduling and assigning adequate resources, monitoring progress, and resolving problem
• Report to the Senior Manager in reporting shift production status
• Key personnel in leading independently on discipline and planning for the manufacturing team
• Manage team's recruitment, appraisals and ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area with housekeeping standards for employees and ensure that they conform to safety rules and regulations
• Project - Lead and/or participate in lean and continuous project improvement initiatives
• Work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effectively communicated
• Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices and requesting/ implementing change.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in either a technical environment in aviation, capital equipment or manufacturing industry
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience for a team of technical staffs (technicians/ operators)
• Prior hands-on experience in equipment manufacturing (i.e. mechanical/electrical, troubleshooting)
• Able to perform a 3 month, 12 hour rotating shifts (Both day & night shift)
• Able to demonstrate good communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Define overall NPI program schedules, align on, and drive required execution plans and program deliverables to completion while meeting critical milestones throughout product life cycle including tool delivery in Global Operations
• Facilitate regular program meetings with the core team, and report out on program status, and identify any gaps to schedule or help needed
• Track progress to program objectives and timelines
• Develop metrics to measure NPI program performance and to drive improvement through successive product introductions
• Key stakeholder in corporate strategic product commercialization initiatives focusing on continuous process improvements

Education and Experience requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science or related studies
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in program management or engineering project leadership of configurable products, from Semiconductor Capital equipment, from the conceptual stage through to high volume production
• Strong project management and analytical skills
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
