Role Purpose:

To prepare the electrical engineering deliverables for assigned projects as per company specified technical standards, procedures within project schedule and budget under supervision of Project Lead Electrical Engineer and support the Lead Engineer to plan, execute & deliver the I&C deliverables for the assigned project successfully.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the design basis, project requirements including HSSE, scope, schedule, quality requirements, client & class requirements and project execution philosophy. Incorporate the project requirements in the engineering design and deliverables.
• Manage project work including issue of deliverables within schedule and quality. Complete electrical engineering and FAT, SAT of assigned packages on time within project schedule. Support commissioning and operations.
• Plan, manage the deliverables as per project requirements in coordination with Project Lead Electrical Engineer. Issue the deliverables as per the project timeline and quality requirements.
• Identify improvement opportunities and innovative ideas. Innovate the new ideas and methodologies to improve project schedule/cost saving/quality.
• Ensure proper change management control, anticipate the technical issues, and take preventive action to mitigate the risk. control scope/schedule/cost and mitigate the cost escalation or schedule delays.
• Closely communicate with the team, inter-discipline communication, internal and external stake holders. To ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the project requirements and deliverables are approved.

The Opportunity

We own, evolve and support the technology platforms that handle the post-execution processing for the Securities Execution, Prime Clearing, and Prime Brokerage businesses. This includes exchange and broker trade processing, internal firm/firm trades and client delivery across physical and synthetic products. We are at the start of a multi-year convergence program to deliver all of these businesses onto a single, high scalable platform, enabling business growth with reduced operational costs.

About the team

Our team consists of 19 people in Singapore and around 100 globally. Almost all of our projects are cross-location and cross-function, meaning we work directly with Front Office, Operations, Legal, Tax, and our Engineering colleagues from those areas, across the wider firm.

We work directly with Operations and Securities sales/trading, to design and implement, a wide range of functions including trade aggregators, trade matchers, payment systems, intercompany trade booking and settlement systems, and connectivity to exchanges, counterparties and vendors. Our Exception Workflow and Business Intelligence tooling allows our Operations teams to respond to client enquiries and monitor service levels.

Our Post Execution platform consists of a variety of applications that demand high throughput, performance and availability, including our strategic new Post Execution Sequencer platform which is a brand new/greenfield initiative to converge all of our businesses onto a single technology platform, to have much better scalability, improved resiliency and reducing the time needed to develop and deliver new features.

• Engineering Drawings Preparation:Prepare a complete set of engineering drawings that include multiple views, details, and assembly, utilizing AutoCAD.
  Ensure that drawings are comprehensive and accurate, following company and industry standards.
  
• Design Deliverables Accuracy:Review and ensure the accuracy of design deliverables, including those from subcontractors, before issuing them to the site.
  Ensure deliverables are issued on time, and work to minimize errors or delays.
  
• Material Take-Off (MTO) Management:Issue RFQ/PR (Request for Quotation/Purchase Request) in SAP for Bulk MTO (Material Take-Off) and manage the MTO process effectively.

• 3D Model Review & Feedback:Participate in 3D model reviews and provide feedback related to EICT design to the engineering contractor.

• AVEVA Software Utilization:Implement and review the design in AVEVA Electrical & Instrumentation to ensure the database is updated correctly and applicable drawings are extracted.

• EICT Interface Coordination:Review all design-related information and identify Tie-in points related to EICT interfaces to ensure smooth integration with other systems and equipment.
  
• Design Query Resolution:Support the EICT Lead Designer in resolving design queries from various yards and other stakeholders within the required schedule and timeframe.
  
• Engineering Design Meetings:Attend meetings with engineering contractors to discuss detailed modeling, design, and drawing preparation based on basic designs/drawings.
  Provide feedback and assist in the refinement of designs to meet project requirements.
  
• Drawing & Design Standards:Under general supervision, follow prevailing engineering design procedures, standards, and codes.
