Accounts Assistant, Contract
Summary
The Account Assistant will report to the Group Head of Budget, HR & Support Service Group (BHRS), and the Senior Budget and Administration Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the organization and assist in verifying claims, processing payments and providing auditing support and completing ad-hoc administrative tasks assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist the Budget Team in preparing the full set of accounts, management reports and contribute to the efficient operations of the Administration department.
• Assist in annual statutory audit, including preparation of audit schedules, drafting financial statements and attending to audit queries in order to ensure that progress is on track and annual filing is done on time.
• Thoroughly review and verify all finance-related entries and documents to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Timely process staff claims, intercompany/external invoices, adhering to the company's specified timeframe.
• Execute closing entries and journals such as accruals/provisions, depreciation, and revaluations, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Validate payroll data, ensure sufficient bank balances, and facilitate accurate payments.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic reports for management's review.
• Provide prompt, comprehensive, and accurate responses to any payment-related questions and inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Requirement:
• A minimum diploma or degree in Accountancy or any related fields.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the field of accounting or finance.
• High proficiency in software applications such as SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent organizational skills; multitasking skills; must be accountable for the accuracy of numbers and information.
• Good teamwork and communication skills to interact effectively with staff of diverse cultural backgrounds at all levels.
