Duties

• Process invoices, payment requests and reimbursement claims accurately within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance to internal procedures and compliance with tax regulations.
• follow up actively with the relevant parties to resolve problematic invoices, including sending periodic reminders to vendors to act on disputed invoices.
• Liaise with vendors and users to facilitate prompt processing of invoices including those under Direct Debit Authorisation (DDA).
• Accrue unprocessed invoices, payment request and reimbursement claims at month-end to meet month-end closing schedule provided by institution.
• Prepare and submit/post journals for reclassification and adjustments, recurring transactions within institutions’ timeline.
• Train and guide junior staff and assist in resolving difficulties encountered by them.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

What’s the role

As a Senior Manager internal control & accounting, you will work with an externally oriented, professional, and collaborative team in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

In your role, you will be leading our internal controls governance process, ensure compliance to upcoming internal control regulation (i.e., VOR), and drive continuous improvements with key-stakeholders. You will be responsible to execute testing procedures to conclude on the implementation and (operating) effectiveness of internal controls. Internal control responsibilities will take approximately 60% - 80% of your overall responsibilities.

The Senior Manager internal control & accounting will, work with a variety of business partners across various business and service units to ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards and its deployment across businesses.

You will occasionally visit key locations throughout the world.

This position will report to the Director Group Accounting (based in the Netherlands, ASM headquarters).

Role and Responsibilities

• Business partnering that builds professional relationships based on trust, respect, and delivery of results.
• Leading continuous improvement of our internal control framework, through:

1. Planning and scheduling self-assessment and monitoring completion
2. Status reporting on internal control performance
3. Pro-active collaboration with testers on timely completion and follow up on findings
4. Ensure keeping our internal control framework up-to-date
5. Walkthrough and effectiveness testing of controls
6. Process reviews to identify new risks / gaps on internal controls
7. Drive innovation of control performance (e.g., through automation)
8. Ensure compliance to upcoming changes in regulations (e.g., new accounting standards, VOR, etc.)
9. Delivery of concise and high quality outcome reporting for management purposes

• Ad-hoc projects; such as providing support on acquisitions, S4HANA implementation, etc.
• Ownership of maintenance on the Global Authorization Matrix (GAM) table by processing approved changes and running updates based on employee changes.
• Review of external reporting (i.e., Press Releases, Interim Report, Annual Report, Statutory Annual Report(s)).
• Review of ASM’s Accounting policies and related procedures to determine that these reflect ASM’s (current) business activities and are in accordance with IFRS.
• Prepare position papers on identified accounting issues and ensure compliance with IFRS.
• Communication & Coordination: Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Accounting or Post master Accountancy (RA title) or CPA
• Strong understanding of finance processes, systems, and best practices in the manufacturing industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience in Big-4 audit firm, overall minimum10 years’ experience with internal control environments.
• Relevant experience with accounting standards (IFRS), industry-specific regulations and compliance.
• Proven experience of working in a hands-on role and in a changing environment.
• Self-motivated and results oriented, hands on, proactive, able to prioritize to meet deadlines
• Semi-industry experience or a similar high technology manufacturing environment

Clinical Roles

• Conduct physiotherapy/ occupational therapy treatment for residents at centre/home according to prescribed treatment plan
• Work closely with the centre/home staff nurse for the conduct of individual and/or group therapy programme for residents
• Set up treatment area and equipment for therapists
• Assist therapists in carrying out interventions programe
• Conduct group exercise/ therapy sessions for the residents at the centre/ home
• Keep good records of all services performed and submit regular activity reports and daily statistics to the therapists

Resource Management

• Maintain and upkeep a proper inventory control with regular inspection and audits
• Maintain all equipment used and the tidiness of the rehabilitation area at the end of each session
• Carry out routine disinfection and cleaning of equipment
• Prepare monthly statistics and billing as per requirement
• Check and replenish rehab and treatment supplies

Clinical Quality and Safety

• Participate in delivering consistent and excellent clinical and service quality to residents and sponsors
• Responsible for the clinical quality of all residents guided by the set key performance indicators
• Participate in the implementation of quality improvement project(s) in the centre(s) initiated by therapists
• Assist in the conduct of clinical audits as and when instructed by supervisor
• Assist in the investigation of any clinical incidents

Feedback Management

• Assist in any investigation pertaining to complaints received
• Escalate any unfavorable and unresolved feedback to HQ

Other Duties

• Assume any other additional responsibilities as assigned by HOD and Manager, Rehab
• Maintain good communication skills with residents and sponsors

Requirements

• Minimum GCE “O” / “N” Level with WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services, or NITEC in Community Care & Social Services; or Work-study Technical Diploma in Rehabilitation Care
• Candidates with diploma/certificate in Sport Science Management/ Exercise Science/Exercise training will be considered
• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy from non-recognised institutions
• Having working experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage
• Have an interest in providing rehab to the elderly and/or mental health care preferred
• Applicants must be willing to travel across Singapore
