Design Assistant

Your primary roles are to create 3D models for RISIS products (jewellery, lifestyle, and sculpture), to operate our Rapid Prototyping (RP) Machine, to do 3D scanning of RISIS products and to do any modifications on the 3D scanned models. You are required to work closely with the Designers (Sculpting, Jewellery & Lifestyle) to generate high quality 3D-printed models for visualization or production purposes. You must analyse, evaluate, and repair CAD models suitable for Additive Manufacturing. In addition, you may be tasked to design and model corporate gifts products to enhance your knowledge and skills so that you have a better understanding of the whole process from conceptualizing, developing, and producing premium gifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• To create 3D models based on 2D drawings.
• To be able to visualize, create and repair CAD files/data (.STL, .OBJ, .3DM).
• To generate 3D models as per specifications given, either by scanning or by using company-provided 3D modelling software within the required deadline.
• To generate 2D image renders for visualization based on 3D models.
• To operate and conduct regular maintenance of our Rapid Prototyping Machine.

• To keep a monthly maintenance logbook for the Rapid Prototyping Machine.
• To perform post-processes and provide high QC for 3D printed jobs.
• To maintain, update, and follow through 3D printing SOP to achieve the most optimal output and for the success of the 3D printing results.
• To perform preventive maintenance on the Rapid Prototyping Machine as and when needed to keep the machine always in ‘tip-top’ condition.

Other Responsibilities

• To support relevant sales department to do visuals for corporate project proposal.
• To co-ordinate and perform any tasks assigned by the Design Manager.
• To assist Designers with Design Order Form to relevant factories or suppliers when necessary

Requirements

• Diploma / degree in Fine Arts or related discipline.
• Preferably with 1–2 years of experience in similar capacity.

• Monitor and manage office supplies, researching and ordering as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

• Assist in preparing briefing documents, update decks, and reports for internal and external use.
• Prepare and submit expense reports, timesheets, and other related documentation.

• Proven experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant, Senior Executive Assistant, or in a similar role.

4. Maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory

5. Liaising/correspondence with suppliers to schedule deliveries or to discuss shortages or missed deliveries

6. Continuously sourcing of parts/materials as and when required

7. Performing Goods received and updating of system

8. Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other necessary data

9. Co-ordinating with forwarder for preparing of documents/permit for incoming shipment clearance

10. Continuously liaising with Sales and other departments for their new requirement of material/parts

11. To negotiable and obtain best price quotes from suppliers based on various Purchase Requisition request within the company

12. Deals with defective goods damaged goods as and when required

13. Performing monthly stock take

14. Any other ad hoc jobs assigned

3. Minimum 1 years of working experience in procurement.
4. Management skill and ability.
5. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
6. Good communication skill.
7. Good command in English, both verbal and written.
8. Computer literate.
9. Can start work immediately
