What makes you a successful candidate?

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related discipline
• At least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience working in or leading high performing software development teams
• At least 2 years of experience in Unix-based environments
• At least 2 years of experience in developing in kdb+ or equivalent, preferably with experience in building Feedhandlers
• In-depth understanding and hands-on technical skills at least one of the following:
  C#, Java and/or Python
  Database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL
  Modern API platform design (REST, gRPC, etc.)
  Container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
• Proficient in building distributed systems and cloud native applications
• Experience with AWS architecture is preferred

• Knowledge in Execution Services, Transaction Cost Analysis, and Market Data in at least 1 of the following products: Equity / Futures and Options / FX / Bonds / Derivatives

About the Team

The Information Technology Department (‘ITD’) provides a full range of technology services to all departments including the Front Office, Operations, Finance and Risk departments. The teams are also involved in Global projects and work collaboratively with other entities within Mizuho Group.

Summary

The developer will work towards implementing new and enhancing existing applications in the Back Office and Corporate space, including the middleware framework. Responsibilities

• Participate in project implementation with main focus on Risk Management
