The Laundry Assistant is responsible for ensuring the proper handling, washing, drying, and folding of all laundry items, including residents' personal clothing, linens, and facility-related items, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and residents' clothing as per standard procedures.
• Separate laundry based on fabric types, colors, and washing requirements.
• Operate and maintain laundry machines, ensuring they function safely and effectively.
• Report any machine malfunctions or required repairs to the supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to hygiene and infection control standards at all times.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and follow guidelines for safe chemical handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Monitor and replenish laundry supplies (detergents, fabric softeners, etc.) as needed.
• Keep an inventory of linens and notify the supervisor of any shortages.

• Communicate professionally and courteously with the resident's family and staff.
• Assist in sorting and managing donations of clothes if applicable.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in laundry services is an advantage but not mandatory.
