Roles & Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Perform routine cleaning, sweeping, and general maintenance of public area of student hostel (landscaping, cutting grass, etc);

● Support and provide assistance to the Facilities and Maintenance team when required;

● Prepare work areas by gathering tools and supplies;

● Carry out basic repairs under supervision;

● Ensuring all areas are kept tidy which includes moving materials or products to designated areas to ensure work areas are clean and organized;

● Manage inventory by sorting, storing, or stocking items required in the daily upkeep of the property;

● Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables;

● Adherence to Safety Standards, to follow all health and safety regulations;

● Report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly within the property;

● Additional duties to perform tasks in day to day operational requirements as assigned by supervisors or team leads; and

● and any other duties as required by the Company or management.

• Processing Payments: Cashiers handle payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, checks, and sometimes coupons or vouchers. They use cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, or digital payment platforms to process these transactions.
• Providing Customer Service: Cashiers assist customers by answering questions, helping with purchases, offering product recommendations, and ensuring an overall positive shopping experience. They may also address customer concerns or handle returns and exchanges.
• Counting Money: They count and verify cash, ensuring the accuracy of the amount received and given as change. Some cashiers also balance their cash drawers at the start and end of each shift.
• Issuing Receipts: After processing a transaction, cashiers provide customers with receipts, ensuring proper documentation of purchases.
• Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization: Cashiers are responsible for keeping their station neat and organized, which may include arranging the register area, cleaning surfaces, and restocking necessary supplies (e.g., bags, receipt paper).
• Handling Customer Transactions Efficiently: They must be able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy, especially during peak times.

Job Descriptions

• Be responsible for day-to-day maintenance works (e.g. painting, installation) and cleaning works
• Assist in setting up fixtures for the company events
