The role holder will play a crucial role in promoting a positive work environment and supporting the success of the organization through effective HR practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

•  Leads the HR function within the country for all the campuses of the school.
•  Supervises, develops, and provides guidance to the HR team for all the campuses.

Functional

•  Advises the Principals and Country Director on HR matters in the country for all the campuses of the school.
•  Manage all HR aspects: talent attraction and selection, recruitment, onboarding, performance management and rewards, talent management and learning and development, employee engagement, offboarding and regulatory laws of Singapore.
•  Oversee all work pass applications, renewals and cancellations are done on time and guide business stakeholders on MOM guidelines and changes from time to time.
•  Implements initiatives, action plans, procedures, policies, and processes in the country and ensures alignment with the Group.
•  Drives the corporate engagements surveys in the campuses.
•  Conducts regular engagement activities in all the campuses.
•  Manages the rewards program.
•  Manages the performance management process in the campuses and Support the Corporate HR in the organization-wide performance management process.
•  Monitors and ensures appraisals are completed in accordance with the timelines.
•  Leads the normalization process for the campuses in collaboration with the managers, Principals and Country Director and shares the results with the Management.
•  Ensures HR Policies are up to date and in sync with the MOM guidelines.
•  Maintains in-depth knowledge of country legal requirements relating to the day-to-day management of employees.
•  Ensures compliance with statutory matters, such as application for employment passes, renewal of work permits, etc.
•  Manages internal and external audits along with key stakeholders by maintaining comprehensive documentation of HR processes, policies, and procedures and ensures compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness within the HR function.

Financial

•  Manages operations to hit performance metrics for the HR team in the country.
•  Oversee and ensure timely processing of payroll for all employees.
•  Work closely with the FC and country director to set employee related budgets at the beginning of each year.
•  Ensure adherence to budgets; Undertake necessary actions to ensure compliance to budgets.

Interaction and People Focus

•  Works closely with the Recruitment teams and hiring managers, sharing forecasting needs and role requirements.
•  Supervises the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees in the campuses.
•  Work closely with Corporate HR team on various strategic projects.
•  Works closely with the Training team, encouraging employees on various trainings and identifying training needs in the country.
•  Addresses complex employee queries relating to HR.
• Maintains networks and relationships with internal and external partners at the working level to keep abreast of the current industry climate and macroeconomic trends.
• Collaborates proactively with Recruitment team to continuously increase competency within teams to meet future organisations needs through the development and recruitment of talent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent; Preferable Postgraduate/MBA in Human Resource Management
• Experience 12-15 years of experience in HR with at least 5-7 years of HR experience handling an HRBP role within Singapore, preferably in the education industry.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced and diverse environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Maintenance

• Responsible for timely re-lodgement of Prospectus and Product Highlight Sheet (PHS) for regulatory filing with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (‘MAS’).
• Responsible for product enhancements to support business initiatives and/or comply with regulatory changes. This will include amendment of Trust Deed, preparation of notice and ensure its timely dispatch to unitholders.
• Responsible for maintenance of funds in foreign registration (e.g. Taiwan, Brunei) and assist with local filing and reporting requirements (including the preparation of quarterly fund factsheets and translated prospectus).
• Responsible for periodic distribution payout of funds, ensure accuracy of information (i.e., distribution per unit) and payouts are executed in a timely manner.
• Preparation of materials for periodic meetings with Product Development Committee.
• Maintain product-related information and assist with product-related queries.
• Handles fund related matters, including making invoice payments for costs incurred in the course of legal filings etc.
• Requires working closely with the relevant functional units such as Legal, Compliance and Operations as well as external legal counsels and Trustee

Product Development

• Assist with setup of new products (Authorised and/or Restricted scheme), including taking minutes of meetings and making sure issues raised for the project are addressed and the fund is timely registered with the Authority in support of Sales’ product launch timeline.
• Requires liaising with relevant function units such as Sales Distribution team, Operations and Compliance.

Support for the Business Management

• Work on ad-hoc projects or any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Pre-Requisites:

• Diploma in Law or Degree, preferably in Business, Finance & Accountancy

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the financial industry (in product, para-legal or compliance role would be advantageous)

JOB SUMMARY:

Manage the crewing function to identify, recruit, retain and develop a sustainable, compliant and cost effective crew pool.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES :

• Contacting ex-seafarer for redeployment
• Sourcing / recruiting / check & verify seafarers’ certificates and arranging for interviews of senior officers with the respective department heads
• Liaise with crew agents and port agents for crew joining/repatriation, including the booking of flight and visa / work permit application
• Checking & ensure seafarer’s certificates / medical check-up for compliance to Charterer’s requirements / matrix
• Checking of seafarer’s certificate authenticity with the relevant authority and application for Flag State license
• Proper maintaining & update seafarer files certificates / document’s expiry / SEA contract / crew appraisal / crew change plan
• Extension of crew’s entry pass and crew landing pass with the immigration authority
• Declaration of immigration clearances and outward port clearances
• Apply & update of crew article, including the crew sign-on/off
• Provide weekly and monthly reports to senior management on crewing matters and issues.
• Supervise / audit manning agencies to ensure Company requirements and policies are fulfilled.
• Monitoring and closing out of crew P&I costs and medical updates
• Obtain information and remain fully informed on local legal and regulatory requirements on topics that may affect crew members, including immigration rules and procedures, local social tax issues, and insurance matters.
• Member of the Shore Base Emergency Response Team to coordinate with ERT members local or overseas for medical arrangements and inform NOK as necessary.
• Undertake any other Adhoc duties/projects as assigned by Management/Company.
