Job Title: Interior Designer (No Experience Required)

Department: Design Team

Reports to: Senior Interior Designer / Design Director

Key Responsibilities:

Concept Development: Work with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and goals. Develop initial design concepts and mood boards that align with client vision, functionality, and aesthetic preferences.

Design Creation: Draft detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc.). Select furniture, materials, colors, and finishes that best complement the design concept.

Project Management: Oversee the execution of design projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and craftsmen to bring designs to life.

Client Communication: Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the design process, providing regular updates and addressing any feedback or changes. Ensure the final design meets or exceeds client expectations.

Space Planning: Optimize layouts and use of space for both aesthetics and functionality. Ensure that design choices comply with building codes, safety standards, and accessibility guidelines.

Material Selection: Curate and recommend materials, furnishings, and finishes that are not only beautiful but durable and sustainable. Keep up to date with the latest trends and innovations in interior design.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure cohesive integration of design elements. Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects to ensure seamless execution of the overall vision.

Budget Management: Provide accurate cost estimates for materials, furnishings, and other design-related elements. Ensure the project remains within budget and troubleshoot any cost-related issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

- Basic understanding of design principles, space planning, and color theory.

- Basic knowledge of building codes, furniture specifications, and design materials.

- Basic organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines effectively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with practicality.

- Familiarity with basic design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rayon, or similar) is a plus, but not required.

- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to contribute to projects and grow within the company.

- Passion for interior design and a desire to learn and a willingness to learn.

Job Description & Requirements

Ø Review & understand project scope of work & technical specification.

Ø Development of shop drawing as per the design intent, project specification and material availability and production limitation.

Ø Prepare Aluminum door, window, Gate, Grill, Louvers, Canopy and Aluminum Kitchen cabinet shop drawing.

Ø Prepare fabrication drawings & bill of material and issue for procurement & production.

Ø Coordination with project team, subcontractors, suppliers and vendors on the fabrication & installation process.

Ø Attending regular technical meetings and site meetings weekly once or monthly twice.

Ø Coordinate with Architect, Main contractor, Consultants and seek approval of shop drawings.

Ø Coordinate with structural engineer on the structural calculation & PE endorsement.

Ø Provide value-engineering proposals to the project team.

Ø Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.

Ø Maintaining proper correspondence records to meet the company standards and ISO requirements.

Ø Reviewing the scope of work and project specifications.

Ø Producing accurate shop drawings based on the design intent and engineering requirements.

Ø Complete the task within the allocated timeline & in line with the project schedule.

Ø Report work accomplishments to the HOD on daily/weekly basis.

Candidate must possess at least Polytechnic Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Structural Engineering or equivalent.

At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Specialized in Engineering / Design - Structural or equivalent.

Preparation of detailed drawings, shop drawings and as-built drawings
