The Fellowship role will manage projects and provide expertise on Health Equity, access to care, and social determinants of health. In collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Duke - NUS, the National Health Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), and SingHealth, SEC is undertaking a research programme on "Future Health Technologies (FHT)". It addresses some immanent health challenges by developing a future-oriented Mobile Digital Health Conceptthat tackles the increase in patients suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity and stroke, as a consequence of a rapidly ageing population with mobile digital technologies, covering the value chain from acute care to patient's private homes.

Project Background

The healthcare systems of the future must effectively harness data to empower clinicians so that they can focus on delivering patient care while leveraging AI to uncover patterns beyond human capacity to detect, enhance diagnostic accuracy, optimize workflows, and improve risk communication. For effectively utilizing AI to achieve this end, access to large datasets from clinical practice remains a challenge as data privacy can prevent the transfer of sensitive data from sites of collection to large compute infrastructure. One approach for overcoming this in development of AI models for health, is federated analysis that has only been utilized for this purpose to a limited extent. For widespread use of federated methods, software infrastructure is needed that can handle diverse data sources as well as for optimizing model training across different consumer hardware.

One area of particular interest for research on AI for health is seamless incorporation of scientific models (which frequently are image-based) into AI toolchains. Examples for use of such models in health research are e.g. CFD models for cardiovascular applications and FE models in musculoskeletal health assessment. Merging scientific modelling technologies with other important data sources from clinical practice will allow researchers to leverage established laws and insights to drive the development of sophisticated learned models that can revolutionize diagnosis and care.

With this project, we aim to develop robust infrastructure that supports large-scale, expert-driven scientific endeavours, ensuring the effective application of AI in the field of musculoskeletal health. Focus will be on the seamless integration of advanced model-based biomechanical markers of bone health into AI workflows.

The role will involve providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents, setting up mental health frameworks, and supervising a multidisciplinary team.

The Clinical Psychologist will be instrumental in designing evidence-based therapeutic interventions for vulnerable youth in residential and community settings. Key Responsibilities

1. Service Development and Programme Leadership

This is an operational position within the Asia Centre for Health Security (ACHS). The incumbent will be part of the team to support the core functions of the centre. Their duties would include administration, education and training, collaboration and partnership, and secretariat functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage incidents' investigations, recommend corrective actions and follow-up on the implementations and effectiveness of actions taken
• Liaise and communicate well with site operations staffs, project managers, contractors and third parties on all safety and health issues
• Ensure that all statutory regulations, code of practice and company’s EHS rules & regulations are implemented and complied with at the project site.
• Conduct regular inspection and audits on the EHS provisions on site
• Establish and maintain a positive EHS environment on the project site.

REQUIREMENTS:-

• Diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety related qualifications
• Registered MOM Workplace Safety and Health Officer
• 4 years WSH experience in HDB projects required

Role Summary/Purpose

The Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with onsite operations to ensure the safe execution of task onsite and the compliance all the applicable HSE procedures implementation and regulatory requirements.

He/She will work directly with the Site Operations Leader and the HSE Director or designee to ensure alignment with the business HSE priorities and strategies.

• Experience occupational safety and health, environmental management
• Minimum of 5 years of HSE experience
• HSE professional certification such as NEBOSH or (HSE Certificate specialist for Oil and Gas Industries)
• Familiarization with risk assessments
• Knowledge on lifting and rigging safe practices

The programme’ s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The selected candidate will work in Cardiovascular Health Research Services Unit established under the CArdiovascular DiseasE National Collaborative Enterprise (CADENCE) national clinical translational programme. They will perform a variety of activities relevant to the planned economic evaluations for health interventions and assist a team of health economists.

Job Description

• Perform data cleaning, handling and analysis
• Perform economic evaluations in healthcare (cost analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-utility analysis or budget impact analysis) with guidance
• Assist in drafting research abstracts and manuscripts
• Assist in preparation of PowerPoint presentations to various stakeholders
• Conduct literature reviews to evaluate the potential value of health innovations
• Assist in preparation of evaluation reports for the health economics team
• Extract data from existing databases and published literature
• Manage projects from start to end with guidance (i.e. Develop research objectives and study design, perform data extraction and data collation, conduct data modelling, perform statistical analysis and engage and collaborate with various stakeholders)
• Support secretariat and administrative functions pertaining to the health economics team at HSSR

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. Master’s Degree in Public Health is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience with quantitative data
• Adept at working with data, including processing raw data to visualise trends and deciphering patterns and ability to handle large data sets
• Experience in various quantitative research methods preferred.
• Experience or training in health economics will be beneficial.
• Experience with R programming language, and a willingness to learn more applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a team, with dynamic reporting lines and multiple stakeholders
• Able to work independently with limited supervision
• Action-oriented, highly motivated and target-focused
