Job Title: City Hall Hub Manager

Reporting Line: Reports directly to Head of Health and Fitness

Job Summary:

The Health and Fitness Hub Manager at UFIT City Hall holds a dynamic role, combining responsibilities for overseeing fitness operations and clinic management. This position also involves engaging with the UFIT Sports division at City Hall and integrating sports clientele into health and fitness services, and vice versa.

The pivotal nature of this role necessitates leadership in driving revenue growth, enhancing client experiences, and optimizing efficiencies across all aspects of health and fitness services. The Hub Manager is ultimately responsible for the performance of both fitness and health operations at the City Hall Hub, with appraisal based on P&L performance and continual improvement of KPIs.

Maintaining team standards and service delivery is a critical aspect, ensuring adherence to client experiences, facility management, team process compliance, and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence within the UFIT community.

Specific Working Management Hours:

• 6 x 6-hour work blocks across the week (1 block per day Monday - Saturday, totalling 36 hours), pre-agreed with the line manager.
• Working blocks are 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm
• Tuesday and Thursdays working blocks will be 2pm-8pm
• A maximum of 1 block can be carried out in 1 day.
• If a block falls on a public holiday, the individual is not required to work. However, if working on this day is operationally necessary, the manager will receive time off in lieu (time in lieu must be planned and approved by their line manager at least seven days before the event).
• If the manager is requested to work during times outside their blocks, then they will have compensatory time-off in lieu - this will be at the line manager's discretion.
• The Manager will not receive additional compensation for client-facing services completed during registered working blocks but will for sessions completed outside of these hours.
• A weekly schedule of working blocks will be set in collaboration with their line manager every quarter, and communicated with all stakeholders. Any alterations during this period be signed off by their line manager
• From time to time the company may request which block during the day the manager is to work
• PT/coaching hours are limited to 50 per month

Annual Leave

• 21 x 6 hour time blocks can be taken as annual leave per year.
• Maximum 14 consecutive days not at work (including weekends and public holidays).

Responsibilities:

1.Business Development:

• Assess and evolve fitness and clinic services, contributing to the development of a Health and Fitness Hub.
• Identify opportunities for business growth within fitness-related modalities and present proposals to senior management.
• Engage with UFIT Sports management and team members to promote and cross sell health and fitness services to Sports based clients
• Develop and nurture relationships with the hotel management team to ensure smooth operations of existing services, and to develop potential new areas of growth

2. Sales and Operations:

• Lead all Health Consultations at UFIT Club St and be ultimately responsible for all new fitness sales within the hub.
• Allow open access to their working diary to the UFIT sales team to enable the UFIT team members to book health consultations/sales meetings directly at pre-agreed times.
• Optimize client retention through ongoing community management and daily tasks, communicating with all clients at critical points during their programmes, including but not limited to two-week check-in, end of the programme, key milestones/successes, and operations changes that impact the client (i.e. trainer departing, etc.)
• Management and onboarding of all new corporate groups and classes that drive fitness revenue into the location P&L.
• Regular communication and collaboration with the UFIT Senior Rep at your location to ensure the highest customer service and administration standards possible.
• Manage all incoming program freeze requests which sit outside the boundaries set out in current UFIT terms and conditions.
• Manage a team to achieve revenue forecast goals for Personal Training (PT), Group Fitness classes, and clinic services.
• Oversee representatives to ensure excellent customer service and efficient administration tasks.

3. Human Resources:

• Lead and manage a team to be engaged with the UFIT brand and exceed client expectations daily.
• Lead 4 week UFIT Brand Onboarding with new joiners to the team
• Ensure CPD sessions are attended by team members especially new joiners
• To work with COO on team manpower / recruitment needs and timelines
• Develop an effective feedback and appraisal system with the team, ensuring each member has at least two formal annual appraisals.
• Coach team members on maintaining high-quality standards, particularly in goal setting, results, and Circle of Care (CoC) integration.
• Drive tech usage and data capture, especially with Trainerize, to enhance client experience and team performance.
• Identify underperformers and create improvement plans to align with UFIT standards.

4. Facility and Equipment Management:

• Conduct a weekly equipment review and maintenance program as discussed and set out with the COO.
• Coordinate repairs or facility improvements in collaboration with the COO.
• Work with the Senior Rep to ensure the cleanliness of all fitness client areas within Club Street.

5. Recruitment:

• Provide on-site induction and training for new hires as required.
• Actively promote and recruit UFIT as an employer to potential recruits and high-caliber fitness professionals.
• Conduct second-round interviews for fitness candidates hired to work at the hub

6. AHPC Coordination:

• Through the MD of H&F provide guidance and support for AHPC qualification and registration.
• Facilitate AHPC supervision within the hub health team as required.

7. Team Onboarding

• Arrange onboarding schedules for new hires.
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members.

8. Personal leadership and Networking

• Facilitate networking opportunities for the team.

Compensation & Performance Bonus:

1.Base Salary

a) $4500 + work phone

3.Quarterly Sales Bonus based on achieving PT sales target (up to

$3000 per quarter)

4. PT Commissions

• Fitness Coaching pay shall be calculated as 44% of all Earned Revenue.
• The manager will be eligible to receive an additional discretionary 2% of all Earned Revenue for every 12 months of service with the Company completed, as calculated from the commencement of your service with the Company.
• The Manager will earn a further 2% of earned revenue commission while in the manager role. This additional 2% will be removed if the manager resigns or returns to work as a full-time coach.
• Clauses (a) and (b) above are subject to a cumulative total of 60% of all Earned Revenue
• 5. Annual Bonus - $12,000 based on the target contributing EBITDA being hit - 75% performance based, 25% is discretionary.

Job Description

The Fellowship role will manage projects and provide expertise on Health Equity, access to care, and social determinants of health. The Fellow will support the Forum’s work in developing Singapore as a Country Lighthouse, conduct research on its health system transformation, and share insights on health equity. He/She will also coordinate with regional working groups and engage with local and global partners, including the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network and the Accelerators Network, and contribute to the Forum's Health Equity strategy and broader global efforts.

The Health Equity effort in Singapore as well as the proposed pilot place-based change programme(s) will link to a broader global Global Health Equity strategy and pre-existing place-based change work (launching by the GHEN in 2024). This role is based in Singapore and hosted within the NUS Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP). • Research and draft a White Paper on Singapore’s health system transformation journey, including leading interviews with key Health Equity stakeholders and identifying future opportunities for collaboration.

Introduction

ETH Zurich is one of the leading universities of the world with a strong focus on science and engineering. In 2010 it established the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) in collaboration with the National Research Foundation (NRF) to do interdisciplinary research on pressing problems.

In collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Duke - NUS, the National Health Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), and SingHealth, SEC is undertaking a research programme on "Future Health Technologies (FHT)". It addresses some immanent health challenges by developing a future-oriented Mobile Digital Health Conceptthat tackles the increase in patients suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity and stroke, as a consequence of a rapidly ageing population with mobile digital technologies, covering the value chain from acute care to patient's private homes.

Project Background

The healthcare systems of the future must effectively harness data to empower clinicians so that they can focus on delivering patient care while leveraging AI to uncover patterns beyond human capacity to detect, enhance diagnostic accuracy, optimize workflows, and improve risk communication. For effectively utilizing AI to achieve this end, access to large datasets from clinical practice remains a challenge as data privacy can prevent the transfer of sensitive data from sites of collection to large compute infrastructure. One approach for overcoming this in development of AI models for health, is federated analysis that has only been utilized for this purpose to a limited extent. For widespread use of federated methods, software infrastructure is needed that can handle diverse data sources as well as for optimizing model training across different consumer hardware.

One area of particular interest for research on AI for health is seamless incorporation of scientific models (which frequently are image-based) into AI toolchains. Examples for use of such models in health research are e.g. CFD models for cardiovascular applications and FE models in musculoskeletal health assessment. Merging scientific modelling technologies with other important data sources from clinical practice will allow researchers to leverage established laws and insights to drive the development of sophisticated learned models that can revolutionize diagnosis and care.

With this project, we aim to develop robust infrastructure that supports large-scale, expert-driven scientific endeavours, ensuring the effective application of AI in the field of musculoskeletal health. Focus will be on the seamless integration of advanced model-based biomechanical markers of bone health into AI workflows.

About the Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP)

Optimizing the performance of health systems is essential to ensuring the wellbeing and longevity of populations worldwide. Singapore is particularly well placed to lead research in this field as its health system has been consistently ranked as one of the best in the world based in independent evaluation with the Global Burden of Disease data. The new Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP) aims to advance research in this area within the Yon Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS) as the leading centre for research in health systems in Asia with the following core functions:

1. Research: empirical and methodological research and evidence synthesis on health systems performance with a particular focus on Value Based Healthcare.
2. Health policy intelligence: health policy impact analysis aimed at policy makers, service providers, researchers, and the wider public.
3. Capacity building: formal postgraduate programme (from certificates to PhD), fellowships, mentoring, on-the- job and ad hoc training
4. Contributing to improving NUHS performance: expert advice on the development, implementation, and evaluation of flagship initiatives (including Healthier SG) aimed at making step changes in NUHS performance, and programme evaluation

Job Description

The multidisciplinary team of researchers in health systems (health services and policy researchers, data scientists, social scientists, and others), and administrators working in CRiHSP will provide an exciting and dynamic place in which people of diverse backgrounds collaborate towards the common goal of achieving excellence in Health Systems Research. The team will further benefit from a significant expansion in related fields and collaborations with the Department of family Medicine at the National University Health System (NUHS), the new Centre for Sustainable Medicine (CoSM) and the Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Sciences Interventions (BISI) at the School of Medicine and the Saw See Hock School of Public Health.

NUS offers highly competitive remuneration packages. The successful applicant will be offered an annual salary plus benefits commensurate with his or her qualifications, experience and expertise and will have access to travel support to disseminate research outcomes at international academic conferences.

The position is a 2-year full-time appointment at the academic rank of Senior Research Fellow (particularly strong applications at the level of Research Fellow will be considered). An option to renew the appointment for subsequent years will depend on performance and continued funding for the project. There is the possibility to move to tenure track depending on performance. Start date is flexible, with the position expected to commence in the first half of 2024.

Purpose of the post

CRiHSP is hiring a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher. The successful candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise in health services and policy research and evaluation combined with experience translating science and evidence into real-world change. They will make a significant contribution to setting up and developing the centre at this crucial stage in relation to its research, training, evaluation and engagement areas of activity. The successful candidate will report to the CRiHSP Director of Research. The role provides a rare opportunity to work at the centre of this rapidly evolving field, shaping the future of healthcare and clinical practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• Establishing an independent research programme as aligned with CRiHSP priorities by securing external funding;
• Supervising of junior research staff in data collection, analysis and dissemination;
• Contributing to research programmes and projects led by other researchers in CRiHSP;
• Facilitating the integration and curation of clinical and other routinely collected data across (NUHS)
• Contributing to postgraduate course design and teaching and on the job training of evaluation fellows; and
• Mentoring of students and junior researchers.
