Freelance Associate Lecturer
We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Freelance Associate Lecturer to join our team to provide nursing related trainings and contribute to the education of aspiring nursing assistants and even care givers.
Responsibilities
As an Freelance Associate Lecturer, you will play a vital role in training and preparing students for healthcare assistant related careers such as nurse assistants, patient service associates, etc. At the same time, you may also be deployed to train care givers to learn the necessary techniques on care giving. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative training programmes, guiding students through their education, and helping them become competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. The key responsibilities are as follows:
1. Course Instruction: Develop and deliver instructional content related to healthcare programmes, ensuring alignment with curriculum objects and industry standards;
2. Practical Training: Conduct hands-on training sessions, demonstrations and clinical simulations to help students develop essential skills in healthcare nursing and patient care.
3. Supervision: Oversee students during clinical placements (not applicable for short course), providing guidance and feedback to ensure that they meet clinical competency requirements.
4. Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments, practical examinations, and evaluations to measure studentsā understanding and progress.
5. Mentorship: Provide academic and career guidance to students, fostering a supportive and conducive learning environment.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow faculty members and administrative staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
7. Compliance: Ensure adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards in healthcare education.
Qualifications:
Ā· Diploma in Nursing and above from a recognised local polytechnic;
- Specialisation in operating theatre preferred;
Ā· Preferably to have obtained Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA);
Ā· Currently registered nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board;
Ā· At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare related role;
Ā· Strong knowledge of nursing healthcare and related principles, techniques, and practices;
Ā· Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Ā· Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals;
Ā· Proficient in relevant software and educational tools
Ā· Commitment to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
