STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Manager is a specialist in a specific area of health services research (HSR) with good understanding of the broad HSR landscape and trend. The Manager will offer both technical & administrative leadership and work closely with other members of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct research, particularly in his/her field of specialty, into the medical, social, economic and ethical implications of health care services to inform policy and medical decision-making as well as provide pragmatic, impactful healthcare solutions for resource planning and operations management.

The Manager will seek to pursue publication and presentation opportunities in peer-reviewed journals and international or local conferences as well as to conduct educational activity to promote and enable health services research in CGH community. The Manager will also be responsible to mentor and develop junior members within the department in his/her area of specialty. Responsibilities:

• Curious communicator with a strong interest in science and health; a strong understanding of/or experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry is ideal.
• General awareness of the regulatory guidelines for healthcare communications in Singapore.

Requirements:

• At least 11 years of relevant experience in communications and/or related fields, such as healthcare communications marketing, clinical or teaching, research, advertising, management consulting, media or publishing.
• Superior writing and verbal communications skills, specifically to write to persuade; demonstrated ability to effectively multitask, delegate and manage assignments and accurately evaluate and support other team members.
• Understanding of sector trends, with a focus on Singapore, and the broader Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific region.
