The Embryologist is responsible for the care and handling of all oocytes, embryos, and sperm within the laboratory. This role involves preparing gametes for insemination or injection, transferring and freezing oocytes, embryos, and sperm, while ensuring a safe environment for both fresh and frozen specimens.

Key Skills

Proficiency in IVF procedures, including:

• Cryopreservation and thawing of embryos
• Embryo culture and monitoring
• Grading and scoring of eggs and embryos
• Identification, selection, maturation, and fertilization of eggs
• Insemination (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
• Selection of embryos for transfer
• Sperm analysis and washing
• Teasing and identifying testicular spermatozoa from biopsies
• Professional demeanour and ability to collaborate effectively within a coordinated team
• High degree of personal discipline in the laboratory, demonstrating consistent reproducibility in work quality
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant field of science from an accredited tertiary institution.
• Availability to work on Sundays and public holidays, as well as outside regular office hours when necessary.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in laboratory settings is preferred.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Perform tasks and processes according to Embryologist skill levels and abilities.
2. Take responsibility for advanced aspects of laboratory operations and assist in training new staff as needed.
3. When trained, demonstrate the maturity and responsibility to work with minimal supervision.

You will assist with the daily operations of the retail pharmacy and provide good customer service to patients and customers. You will perform cashiering duties and render administrative support to colleagues. You will also be responsible for the replenishment and display of products on the retail shelves and stockholding areas. You will be required to perform housekeeping duties and enforce safety and security measures at the retail pharmacy.

Requirements:

• Higher NITEC / NITEC / GCE ‘N’/‘O’/‘A’ Level with at least 4 years’ working experience, preferably in the retail industry and/or with cashiering experience
• Basic computing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to lift stocks for display and replenishment on shelves and stockholding areas

We are looking for eloquent and confident presenters well versed in public speaking to aid in providing corporate summaries at our health events!

Content to speak on is easy to gasp and scripted. Comprehensive training will also be provided and incentive paid upon completion of training. No prior medical knowledge is required if that is your concern!

Events are very regular and the duration of our events are usually from 8am to 12noon, Monday - Saturday

Remuneration is $25/hr - $35/hr depending on performance and experience.

A minimum of 3 hours will be paid per session regardless of event duration.

• Able to commit regularly for at least 1 year or longer
• At least 3 times weekly
• Flexi / Freelance / Regular part time basis (8.30am-11.30am)
