Attachment Description:
The trainee must ensure the health and safety of employees in the workplace.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Creating and putting into place policies and programs to mitigate risk and promote a safe workplace culture.
2. Identifying potential hazards and ensuring safety measures are in place .
3. Providing training on safety protocols and procedures to employees, management, and the general public.
4. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and initiating enforcement procedures when necessary.
5. Responding to and investigating accidents, injuries, and complaints from employees and employers. 6. Keeping records of accidents and incidents, and preparing reports for managers.
7. Overseeing emergency procedures like fire drills and first aid.
8. Communicating with employees and decision-makers to promote a culture of health and safety.
