This position plays a vital role in shaping the technological framework of EGH by driving innovation and implementing smart systems for enhanced operational efficiency and patient safety. As the Manager, Informatics, you will support the development of EGH’s technology adoption strategies and intelligent systems to meet the future hospital’s operational needs. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to plan and implement cutting-edge solutions that enable digital and automation transformation in healthcare service delivery. By researching emerging technologies and overseeing test-bedding and integration testing, you will drive the adoption of innovative solutions in Healthcare Living Lab (HLL).
You will also be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the HLL, engaging, and managing stakeholders, and evaluating projects for technical, financial, and operational feasibility. A key part of the role involves preparing annual budgets, establishing performance benchmarks, and prioritising projects to optimise resource allocation. Additionally, you will play a critical role in building team capabilities by fostering skills such as agile project management and design thinking, empowering your team to deliver impactful projects effectively.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computing Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with exposure at management level, and at least 4 years in software programming, systems engineering, or technology integration
- A team player with excellent planning, analytical and communication skills
- Possess critical thinking skills and willingness to think outside the box
- Strong ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders effectively in a fluid environment and a growing organisation
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging conditions
- Good knowledge of front-end and back-end systems or product designs
- Familiarity with quick prototyping tools e.g. Unity, wireframing, SolidWorks
- Familiarity with management of engineering collaboration platforms e.g. Slack/GitHub
- Proven track record and hands-on experience in areas such as:
Robotic Platforms
- Familiarity with software development on/with robotic platforms, SLAM, or related fields.
- Experience in the following is preferred:
- Robot Operating System (ROS), ), RoMi-H, Gazebo, Unity, Linux, OpenCV
- Robotics perception, LIDAR, object tracking, motion planning, machine learning, sensor fusion and system engineering
- Embedded and real-time systems
- Algorithm development in C/C++, Python. Unix shell scripting
