What are we looking for?

KidsFirst is ideally looking for practitioners who meet the following requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
• AHPC Approved University
• Minimum 3 years working experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Experienced in assessment, diagnosis and implementation of treatment / intervention programs
• Evident proficiency in English Language and well spoken
• Experienced in caseload management inclusive of parental concerns and clinician related challenges
• Ability to work well with a diverse team, as well as independently; with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Maintain files and/or records for the purpose of documenting activities and/or follow standard operational procedures
• Participate in a collaborative model with all team members
• Preparation of material/responses to guide parents and provide assessment

• Maintenance of machines and equipment
• Maintenance of tools, jigs and fixture. Requisition of duplicate tools and scrap of obsolete tools
• Support machine installation, trial run, troubleshooting and repair of machines and equipment
• Support validation in sample preparation, trial run, data collection and testing
• Assist engineer in samples preparation, testing and data collection
• Update work instructions and document records for maintenance and production work
• Administration work (raise requisition forms in purchase, shipping, etc)
• Co-ordinate with suppliers, internal department for maintenance and calibration tasks
• Conduct internal on-the-job training for production operatives
• Participate in audits by internal and external bodies
• Other tasks assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum Nitec in mechanical technology/mechanical or manufacturing engineering
• Min 2-3 years of manufacturing / production technician experience
