Job Description
1. Massage Therapy:Perform massages for clients using a variety of techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, and acupressure.Assess clients' needs and preferences to customize massage sessions and address specific concerns, such as muscle tension, pain, or stress.
2. Client Consultation and Education:Conduct thorough consultations with clients to gather information about their medical history, lifestyle, and any specific issues or conditions. Educate clients about the benefits of massage therapy, including its potential effects on physical and mental well-being, stress reduction, and pain management.Provide guidance on self-care techniques and exercises to help clients maintain health and prevent future discomfort or injuries.
3. Customer Service and Satisfaction:Welcome clients warmly and create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere in the massage room. Listen attentively to clients' concerns and preferences, and adjust massage techniques accordingly to ensure their satisfaction. Address any questions or concerns raised by clients during or after the massage, and provide appropriate recommendations or referrals as needed.
4. Hygiene and Sanitation:Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the massage room, equipment, and supplies used during massage sessions.Follow proper sanitation protocols and procedures to prevent the spread of infections and ensure the safety of clients and staff.Dispose of used linens, towels, and disposable items properly and replenish supplies as needed.
5. Professional Development:Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in massage therapy, particularly as they relate to massage techniques and modalities.
Requirements
· Proficient in multiple massage techniques with good communication skills and service awareness.
· Have a team spirit and be able to collaborate with other employees. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
· Flexibility to work on weekends and accommodate varying schedules based on client appointments.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, hygiene, and client confidentiality.
