The Lead for Data Analytics will play a key role in contributing to local, regional, and global projects involving data analysis, as well as in leading, advising, mentoring, and training junior team members. Reporting to a General Manager, the Data Analytics Lead will be responsible for ensuring analyses are distributed amongst data analysts to ensure timelines are met, within budget, and at the highest quality. The Data Analytics Lead will also be responsible for managing the time of each junior member, develop/update SOPs as needed, and continue to develop the talent of the team to ensure the latest methods are being used. As required, the Data Analytics Lead will also be involved in analysing a variety of healthcare data, which may include (but not be limited to) EMR, registry, claims or survey data, using appropriate statistical methods and carrying out interpretation and presentation of data analysis. Additionally, the Data Analytics Lead will also assist in the development of research study designs, study protocols, statistical analysis plans, final study reports, and publications, contributing to areas related to statistical analyses as well as reviewing Data Analysts work. The Data Analytics Lead will have the opportunity to contribute to business development activities via proposal development support & identification of new leads, and there will also be the opportunity to work cross functionally on projects outside pure statistical analysis, for example HEOR.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work on project teams in the development and delivery of consulting projects, including:
o Providing expert statistical and methodological advice to inform protocol and statistical analysis plan development for research projects
o Conducting statistical analysis of healthcare data using relevant software (e.g., R, Python)
o Providing expert advice and supporting junior team members on the analysis and pre-processing of healthcare data
o Contributing to the creation of team documentation & templates, e.g., programming requirements and specifications templates, data collection templates, QC plan
o Contributing to the development of macros to ensure efficient analysis and reporting
o Participating in the preparation of research manuscripts, reports, and presentations
o Keeping up-to-date with emerging statistical methodologies and healthcare trends
· Contribute to business growth by:
o Supporting proposals for new business opportunities, including the design and development of client solutions
o Contributing to client satisfaction via consistently strong project delivery
o Supporting new business opportunities through identification of follow-on work and new leads
