Senior/Staff Nurse, Radiology Clinic

You are responsible for providing specialised direct and indirect nursing care and patient education through management, coordination and evaluation of care activities for patients undergoing radiological procedures. Job Description:

• Perform objective assessment, evaluation and documentation of patients’ condition
• Perform complex procedures, both non-invasive and invasive within the scope of duties

Job Description

Provide patient care in Cardiovascular Suite and to assist in the interventional cardiovascular procedures, ensuring compliance with radiology safety policies and procedures for the safety of patients and others.

Main Responsibilities

· To plan and manage the care of individual patient using the nursing process approach comprising of Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation in the Closed Monitoring Unit (CMU). On admission, all necessary pre-procedure check will be done on patient.

· To prepare patient for procedure by serving all necessary pre-medications and shaving the appropriate site and monitor the patient closely after a procedure in the CMU and notify the cardiologist/attending doctor of any abnormalities.

· To assist in procedures and prepare the various instrument trolleys required in various interventional procedures.

· To ensure safety to patient when applying principles of administration of contrast media, taking into consideration the contra-indications and history of patient.

· To respond and manage emergency situations in an efficient and calm manner, e.g. in Code Blue.

· To perform other assignments as and when required by the Nurse Manager/Clinician.

Job Requirements

· Degree / Diploma in Nursing

· Post Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing.

· Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurse.

· At least 3 years of clinical experience

· A minimum of 1 year experience in Cardiology or Radiology interventional procedures or equivalent

· 5 days work week (Mondays to Fridays, no overnight shift but with extended cases, on-call and callback)
