Responsible to supervising care staff to ensure physical well-being and safety of clients, including performing of basic nursing care to residents which includes monitoring vital signs, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding and ambulating.

Job Descriptions:

• Assist in supervision of care staff.

• Taking and reporting of vital signs, weight and conduct monthly monitoring of glucose level
• Collaborate with the therapists in the implementation of the planned therapy to achieve set goals
• Conduct therapeutic and maintenance programme under the guidance of therapists
• Engage with residents
• Observing, documenting & reporting of residents’ condition

Job Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma or Degree in Nursing
• Valid Practicing License with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB Registered)
• Prior experience in Nursing Home or Day Care Centres will be advantageous.

The Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre (慈光乐陶苑及智障日间活动中心) were set up in December 2000 to offer community care options to adults with intellectual disabilities who are aged between 18 and 55.

Overview:
As a Health Attendant, you will play a crucial role in supporting clients' daily living activities and maintaining a safe, clean, and caring environment. Your dedication and compassion will contribute significantly to the quality of care provided within the organization.

Main Responsibilities

1. Client Care and Engagement:Assist with activities of daily living, such as serving meals, feeding clients when necessary, and ensuring clients are dried and dressed after baths (in collaboration with Nursing Aides).

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the General Practitioners First (GPFirst) programme. Apart from attending to GPFirst-related enquiries from patients and GP clinics, you will review referrals received under the programme, assist in data collation, and prepare reports for quality improvement purposes. You will also perform secretariat duties, handle procurement-related matters and be involved in various initiatives to drive public awareness of the programme. In addition, you will work closely with the GPFirst team to manage challenges faced during the care delivery process as well as be a key participant in other primary care partnership initiatives.
