A Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing students, planning therapy interventions for students, implementing students’ therapy plans and educating students and their caregivers. She / He is also involved in managing risk and service quality and performs department administration and operations tasks.
Description:
1) Assess students with speech, language and communication issues.
2) Plan and implement individual and group-based intervention plan.
3) Provide training and consultation to parents /caregivers and teachers.
4) Maintain proper case records, relevant documents and monitor students’ progress.
5) Participate in continuing education and research activities.
Requirements:
1) Recognised Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Speech Therapy.
2) Full registration with AHPC.
3) Preferably with 3 years experience.
4) Experience working with special needs students is an advantage.
5) Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
