Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Duties of Service and Technical Engineer:

• Provide comprehensive after-sales support, including installation, commissioning, and repair of specialized laboratory, research, and analytical equipment.
• Offer technical consultation to customers, addressing their inquiries and providing expert guidance.
• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve problems within specified timelines, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Prepare accurate and detailed service reports to document work performed.

Requirements:

• Minimum NITEC in relevant field
• Service and Maintenance experience is an added advantage
• No experience needed and training will be provided

Job Description

You will be responsible for assessing and managing communication and swallowing disorders in adults and works collaboratively with a multidiscplinary healthcare team to provide quality care for patients. You will also provide education to patients, caregivers and other healthcare professionals.

As a Senior Speech Therapist, you will contribute to the organisation's implementation of initiatives and programmes that aim to provide quality patient care, delivery clinical education and engage in quality improvement/research activties. In addition, assist in the management of daily operations and resources, and contributes towards staff development (e.g provide training and supervison to junior Speech Therapists and students).

Job Requirement

• Bachelor Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent, or
• MSc in Speech and Language Pathology (No experience candidate-entry level), or
• MSc / MA in Speech-Language Pathology (U.S.A) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council
• Valid membership with local professional body/association preferred
