Responsibilities:
• Required to perform basic safety and health functions in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations.
• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes.
• Implement reasonably practicable measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at work in that workplace or may be affected by the Contractor’s undertaking in the workplace.
• Implement reasonably practicable measures to minimize the risk and safe work procedures to control the risk.
• Support the construction team and work together with the contractors in leading in the implementation of the Board’s WSH strategies and objectives.
• Implement the measures and safe work procedures.
• Issue safety instruction in writing to Contractors for non-compliances to safety procedure and follow up on the necessary actions.
• Attendance of project safety meetings, review safety measures and recommend safety enforcements.
• Other administrative duties and ad-hoc assignments as required.
• Accommodating with minimal night work and on weekends, as and when required.
Requirements:
• Shall complete the relevant training courses approved by the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health.
• 5 years of practical experience as WSHO in engineering construction industry.
• Have relevant experience in the safety, health, environmental, and security role in projects of similar scale and complexity, and familiar with water reclamation plant projects in Singapore.
• PUB Project experience is an added advantage
