Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Consultant to provide expert advice and support on tax-related matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and providing tailored solutions to clients.

• Advise clients or internal stakeholders on tax strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
• Provide guidance on corporate tax, personal tax, VAT/GST, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Assist in structuring business transactions to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.
• Prepare, review, and file accurate tax returns, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients or the organization.
• Ensure timely submission of all required tax filings and payments.
• Represent clients or the organization during tax audits and resolve tax-related disputes with authorities.
• Compile and organize supporting documentation for tax audits and investigations.
• Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations.
• Analyze financial data and transactions to identify potential tax liabilities and savings opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients or internal teams to understand their tax needs.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Work closely with finance, legal, and accounting teams to ensure integrated tax solutions.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on tax-related matters, as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or Chartered Tax Advisor certification preferred).
• Proven experience in tax advisory or compliance, ideally in a consultancy or multinational corporation.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in tax software and financial management tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.

For this project, we are forming a team of 6 (including 1 team lead) to assist in a huge upcoming government project to perform the following scope of works:

(i) Security Risk Assessment

(ii) Security Policies, Standards, Guidelines, And Procedures Review

(iii) Security Design

(iv) Application Security

(v) Vulnerability assessment and

(vi) System Security Acceptance Testing

The selected candidate will be working collaboratively within the team to fulfil the project requirements. As such, there is no expectation for one individual to possess all skill sets in the 6 domains.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines for clients.
• Ensure client compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements through regular audits and assessments.
• Identify, analyze, and manage information security risks for clients.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy security solutions.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to inform client solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience (not more) in cybersecurity consulting, with a focus on areas in Risk assessment, Security Design and Cloud Security
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and standards, including NIST, and ISO 27001, etc.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
