Overview

The APAC Regional Environmental, Health and Safety Manager reports directly to Bio-Rad’s Global EHS Director and will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and policies across all locations in Bio-Rad’s APAC region. This position will manage compliance with all Bio-Rad’s EHS policies and standards and all local EHS regulations for each location within the region. The APAC Regional EHS Manager will have overall management responsibility for the region’s sites, the EHS Managers, and staff in the region. The Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) is a centralised platform for population health research, innovation, implementation and evaluation activities at the SingHealth Regional Health System. CPHRI aims to seamlessly leverage data and technology to guide and support population health initiatives and accelerate the implementation of research findings in care delivery and improvement.

You will support the work of the Population-based, Unified, Learning System for Enhanced and Sustainable Health (PULSES) Centre Grant which seeks to develop a learning and integrated Regional Health System to address unmet needs and advance population health research in Singapore.

You will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in conducting literature reviews and systematic reviews as well as assisting with study design and planning. You will conduct quantitative and qualitative research studies and perform data analysis. You will organise analytical and research activities and prepare manuscripts/reports/proposals. You will offer technical guidance and research support to department staff in the domain of analytics and programme evaluation. You will also support the development of educational curriculum and conduct education activities related to the various population health research areas and projects.

Requirement

• Master’s degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Biostatistics, Social Science, Epidemiology or related academic area with least 2 years’ experience in population health research
• Experience in health economics, built environment on social factors and health or implementation science will be an advantage
• Experience in using any statistical package (SPSS/STATA/SAS) or qualitative analysis software Nvivo
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team

You will be assisting the Programme Director (Head of SingHealth Duke-NUS Lung Centre) and work closely with the Smoking Cessation champions and relevant stakeholders to facilitate and support the Centre’s projects and activities under the Smoking Cessation Programme. You will be involved in the development of business plans, promoting of the programme, budgeting, as well as resource planning and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on project funding, compliance, and administration matters. You will also engage relevant industry partners to garner support for the development of new initiatives for the programme.

You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of SingHealth Duke-NUS Lung Centre. You will supervise and coach junior staff. You will also participate in tasks and activities which supports the goals of the programme and department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and any other relevant disciplines with at least 6 years of working experience in business development and 1 to 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Prior experience in healthcare or science would be an added advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Able to work independently and effectively in a team

Requirements

• PhD degree in Social Science, Biostatistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics or related academic area with at least 3 years’ experience in population health research
• Experience in health economics or implementation science will be an advantage
• Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Strong quantitative or qualitative research skills
• Proficient with advanced data analytics software (eg. SPSS, STATA, SAS) or qualitative analysis software (eg. Nvivo)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, independent and able to work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and patient education through coordination, care management and evaluation for an assigned group of patients and/or patient related activities in a Correctional Healthcare environment
• Provide optimal care to meet desired patient outcomes and experiences
• Participate in doctors’ rounds and review daily action and treatment plans
• Assist doctors during clinical procedures, examination and clinical assessment of patients as appropriate Perform a variety of simple invasive and noninvasive procedures related to care plans, within the scope of duties
• Provide accurate and timely documentation of patients’ progress, nursing care, and treatment received
• Assess patient and develop/implement discharge plan based on patient needs
• Comply with operational and nursing guidelines and safe practices according to organisation’s set standards.
• Demonstrate required core and special competencies in nursing
• Maintain current trends in clinical knowledge and competence continuing nursing education
• Supervise junior nursing personnel in providing quality nursing care
• Assist in the orientation and induction programmes for trainees and new employees
• Participate in quality improvement activities, research and committees as assigned, to improve nursing care.
• Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Recognised Diploma or Degree in Nursing or its equivalent
• State Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board
• Able to work on 3-rotating or 12-hour shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays
• Comfortable to work in a Correctional Healthcare environment
• Must have fully completed COVID-19 vaccinations

JOB PURPOSE

o To utilize public health expertise to identify the determinants of health and potential risks to both an individual’s and the population’s health status, and thereafter implement interventions to prevent diseases and injuries before they occur.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Operate the infectious disease and non-infectious disease surveillance systems and dashboards for the population he is responsible for

· Support the conduct of regular quantitative and qualitative analysis of relevant health databases and dashboards and provide public health recommendations based on the relevant population health databases

· Support the design and implementation of occupational and public health programs

· Conduct relevant public health research in the areas of emerging infectious disease, non-communicable diseases, and public health services to improve care for the population he is responsible for

· Assist in the preparation of documents such as new policies, clinical guidelines, best practices, policies, and work-instructions etc

· Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably be required by the Head of Department

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education / Training / Experience

o Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or equivalent

o Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Data Science or healthcare related field

o Previous work experience in the healthcare sector will be an advantage
