This is a full-time on-site role for a Duty Manager position at Mondrian Singapore Duxton. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and ensuring guest satisfaction. They will handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise. The Duty Manager will also manage the front desk and supervise the team, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.

How your day looks like?

• Take ownership and responsibility for Duty Management shifts
• Record in the Duty Log all/any incidents that occur in the hotel and follow up with the Front Office Director and/or Hotel Manager
• Report any accident, incident, theft for both internal and external guests, and liaise with Security & Safety Manager as appropriate
• Knowledge of all arrivals and departures, using guest name at all times
• Check current day arrivals and departures, taking appropriate action in the event of fully booked situations
• Fully conversant with current availability situation at any given time, and also future availability

• Liaise with Housekeeping and Engineering as required for Out Of Order rooms
• Ensure accuracy of input into reservation/front desk systems, and content/legibility of registration cards
• Manage upselling opportunities, email capture and other Front Office initiatives
• Ensure all necessary supplies are available for the Front Desk in order to work efficiently and oversee ordering/completion of Purchase Orders in line with hotel policies and procedures
• Undertake and complete any special projects, tasks or other reasonable request by Front Office Director and/or Hotel Manager
• Meet and welcome regular, global card holders and VIP guests
• Ensure Front Door entrance is covered at all times
• Ensure guest privacy and security, respecting confidential information
• Ensure all guest special requests are followed through and administrated
• Ensure Front Desk Agents are fully conversant with correct policies and procedures for: Reservation enquiries and booking requests, allocation of rooms, pre-allocation and handling of Group arrivals, registering guests, offering assistance with luggage and/or escort to guestrooms, VIP guests/walk-ins, and handling complaints/feedback.
• Follow up on any doubtful accounts passed on by Front Desk Agents
• Authorize and sign paid outs, corrections, adjustments and cashier’s banking
• Be fully involved in the preparation of departmental and hotel budgets as well as any other financial reports if requested
• Ensure Front Desk Agents balance their close of shift and resolve any discrepancies in audit and cash float balancing

Hotel Maintenance

• Location: Bugis
• Working days : 6 days ; 8 hours/day
• Salary : S$ 2,000 - 3,000 (depend on experience)

Responsibilities & Duties :

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical.
• Ensure guest rooms are well-maintained, including fixing plumbing, electrical, and furniture issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify potential maintenance problems.
• Respond to emergency repair needs (e.g., burst pipes, electrical outages, power trip, water heater malfunction,promptly.

What do we expect from you?

Under the general guidelines of the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager solicits transient and group business that enables Mondrian Singapore Duxton to meet and/or exceed set revenue goals in rooms, events, meetings, conferences and food and beverage.

The Sales department is responsible for selling the hotel and providing a relationship-oriented atmosphere for the client, who would book business into the hotel. The Sales Manager will have a defined sales territory, market segment(s), account list and/or may partner in a job-sharing setting. Their primary function is to book business from their prospecting and solicitation efforts and respond to inquiries. Based on assigned territory and market segment, it’s expected that a significant portion of time be devoted to new business development.

How your day looks like:

• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
• Meet or exceed personal sales solicitation call goals based on a minimum of 5 daily appointments covering existing and prospective accounts
• Responsible for administration of all support services including but not limited to responding to emails and correspondence, input and maintenance of databases

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As the Sales Manager overseeing MICE and Corporate events, you will have the remit of formulating the overall sales strategy for these areas. Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide detailed information about the menu and specials.
  Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests.
• Address guest inquiries and special requests, ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
• Take orders accurately and input them into the restaurant’s point-of-sale system.
  Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of orders.
• Set up and clear tables, maintaining cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
  Monitor the dining area to ensure it meets health and safety standards.
• Recommend daily specials, promotions, or pairing options to enhance the guest experience.
  Suggest wine or beverage pairings to complement meal selections.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain smooth operations during busy periods.
• Assist in preparing the dining area for special events or functions.

Requirements:

• Flexible availability to work evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What do we expect from you?

Under the general guidance of the Front Office Manager or any other authorized by the management, perform all duties connected with arriving and in-house guests, ensure that all our regular and VIP guests receive high quality, personalized service, an Engaging, Dynamic Guest Experience and maintain our guest recognition program.

How your day looks like?

• Actively welcome, greet and check guests in
• Inform guests with savvy knowledge of hotel, its services, the city, and local ‘happenings’
• Ensure all requests are dealt with accurately and they receive the appropriate service, attention and follow up
• Differentiate between guest types and handle them in the appropriate manner; guests with confirmed or claimed reservation, walk ins, VIP guests, groups, etc.
• Follow up on all arrivals using the prescribed procedure, modification of registration cards, special requests, rate changes, room changes and account inquiries, reservation inquiries
• Deal with all guest requests, accidents and/or thefts promptly, no later than within a 20 minutes response time, record all matters in Nuvola or hotel internal specific communicating system
• Update and maintain the reception hand over book, pass on all guest feedbacks to the Manager on duty so appropriate action may be taken
• Ensure guest privacy and security, any confidential guest information is not disclosed and processes are aligned with Mondrian Singapore Duxton confidentiality standards
• Ensure the correct procedure and policy standards are adhered to
• Ensure all necessary supplies are available for the front desk, manage par stock and order supplies
• Comply with hotel credit policy as it relates to cash payments; credit card payments; account to company; voucher payment; third party payment, international currency, etc.
• Encourage up-selling in order to maximize rates
• Ensure work areas are cleaned and maintained at all times
