Job Description:

• Manage enquiries and correspondence: Includes replying to drivers, supporting pre-training (confirming slots with trainers, scheduling & reminding drivers and post-training activities (i.e. activation, payment, enquiries), assisting internal stakeholders with enquiries.
• Create and update records in database with driver details: Includes sales numbers of booster seats and in-car kits, monthly review on driver performance, sending out driver messages, monthly reimbursement for drivers, payment arrangements.
• Coordinate frontline activities: Includes registering drivers for training, selling service-specific merchandise.
• Manage inventories: Count and keep track of stocks, supporting receipt of deliveries when necessary, taking note of damaged inventories.
• Oversee and train admin staff to ensure performance.

What the role is

Licensing & Environmental Assessment Department (LEAD) under Development Control and Licensing Division (DCLD) manages the environmental and public health licensing function of NEA. The department also supports policy and licence fee reviews, licensing system developments and service delivery initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the hazardous substances and waste management licensing regimes which include processing and assessing licence applications as well as managing enquires on licensing-related matters. You will also work with fellow colleagues within the same department as well as across other departments in administering the licensing regimes.

What you will be working on

Duties include:

• Process and assess hazardous substances and waste management licence applications and other supporting documents
• Assist and guide the applicants in their licence applications
• Attend to and manage enquiries on licensing-related matters
• Collate and update licensing records
• Work closely with colleagues within the same department and across other departments in administering the licensing regimes

Role/Responsibilities

The key functions for the role would include:

• Analysing, tracking and reporting on such macro and sectoral trends that can assist Temasek in taking advantage of various investment opportunities and emerging themes in different countries, including China, Australia and New Zealand
• Conduct assessment of specific investment opportunities in various ectors, which includes due diligence and the financial analysis of targetc ompanies, including meeting with companies, analysts and experts on the ground to understand the latest insights
• Identify risks and opportunities in the investment environment and help guide Senior management investment decisions
• Work with Investment Group and Portfolio, Strategy and Risk Group to define and drive the shape of the investment portfolio in terms of geographies, sectors and asset classes
• Help identify value creation opportunities through portfolio-level and investment-specific initiatives
• Present macroeconomic and geoeconomic analysis, and investment recommendations to stakeholders

Qualifications/Capabilities

• Degree in a good discipline, Economics / Econometrics background; preferably with a post-graduate degree
• At least 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably as an economist/strategist in economic research teams in banks, buy-side, policymakers, IFIs or other research houses
• Preferably with experience in China and ANZ markets
• Strong quantitative and leadership skills
• High level of interpersonal, specifically communication and writing skills.
• Ability to manage projects across multiple functional areas within the company.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities;
