OVERVIEW
The Assistant/Manager, Market Access, plays a critical role in shaping the committee’s agenda to advance market access strategies across the Asia-Pacific region. The position focuses on driving committee initiatives, coordinating key stakeholders, and navigating complex healthcare and access landscapes to ensure optimal market access for member companies. The role requires a strategic mindset, deep understanding of healthcare systems, and the ability to execute projects in collaboration with industry leaders, KoL’s, policymakers, and partners.
As Manager/Assistant Manager - Digital Health, you will be part of the APACMed’s Digital Health Committee Team and work directly with the Director – Digital Health to advance digital health in the Asia Pacific through knowledge creation, advocacy and policy shaping. You will be responsible for assisting in committee related activities, including, ideating, coordinating and execution of projects, from concept stage to completion. This includes generating project documentation, creating and tracking tasks, managing priorities and requests, managing risks and impact, providing project support and maintaining a master schedule of all projects and activities. You will also be required to create and maintain clear channels of communication with both internal and external stakeholders. This position reports directly to the Director, Market Access.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Committee Agenda and Workstreams:
- Drive the development and execution of the Market Access Committee’s agenda, ensuring alignment with the association's strategic goals.
- Lead specific workstreams and initiatives under the committee’s purview, from inception to completion.
- Develop project scopes, define objectives, and craft actionable plans to deliver measurable outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including payors, policymakers, healthcare providers, and industry leaders, to achieve committee goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade associations, government bodies, and other key partners in the region.
- Serve as a key liaison between committee members, ensuring effective communication and alignment on priorities.
Policy Advocacy and Thought Leadership:
- Draft policy recommendations, position papers, and advocacy materials that reflect industry priorities and support market access goals.
- Conduct research to identify policy gaps and opportunities, developing white papers, concept notes, and reports as needed.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Organize and manage events such as workshops, roundtables, and forums related to market access, including topic selection, speaker engagement, sponsor management, and logistics coordination.
- Develop post-event documentation, summarizing key discussions, recommendations, and insights.
Market Access Monitoring and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze policy developments, reimbursement trends, and regulatory changes impacting market access in the region.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the committee and the association’s leadership.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Health Policy, Healthcare Management, Economics, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in market access, public policy, or healthcare strategy/consulting, trade associations, preferably within the MedTech or broader healthcare industry.
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a deep understanding of healthcare systems and reimbursement frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
