The Department of History at the National University of Singapore invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning in August 2025, at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will have a completed PhD degree in History, and have a strong research agenda rooted in World History, with no preference for regions. Candidates should have an international profile commensurate with their rank and stage of career. The Department is particularly interested in applicants with research interests and accomplishments in one or more of the following subfields: gender; science, technology, and society; environment; the ancient world; and international relations. A demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to teaching Introduction to World History as well as more specialized courses for broad undergraduate audiences in the College of the Humanities and Sciences and the Department’s M.A. students. • Nurture industry accounts to deepen research activities with A*STAR
• Engage Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) to jointly develop research ecosystem aerospace capabilities

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in the field of aerospace or aeronautical
• 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in aerospace MRO or R&D and/or project management roles
• Strong communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong planning and analytical skills
• Result-oriented, resourceful and attentive to details
• Familiarity with the Singapore research ecosystem and grant call process will be an advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and posting of journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage and oversee General Ledger activities
• Process for staff claims and payment for daily operating expenses.
• Prepare documents and schedules required by auditors
• Prepare internal management reports such as daily monitoring and daily regulatory data base calculation
• Prepare regulatory reports and respond to regulatory the inquiries
• Support new systems tests as required by Head Office
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Head of Finance & Accounting

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years handling accounting operations such as payment / nostro reconciliations and financial reporting

As a Research Assistant in Urban Planning Algorithms, you will be responsible for developing innovative algorithms and formulations to address complex urban planning problems. • Developing and refining algorithms and mathematical formulations to solve urban planning problems, such as traffic flow optimization, land use allocation, and resource distribution.

• Analyzing and interpreting data from various sources, including geospatial data, demographic information, and transportation networks, to inform algorithm development.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that algorithms are practical, scalable, and aligned with the goals of urban planners

• Implementing and testing algorithms using appropriate software tools and programming languages, such as Python or R.

Qualifications
