Job Summary

This position supports global and local marketing campaigns by implementing digital sales, marketing, and logistics strategies across all of Bacha Coffee’s online marketplaces. The objectives include driving net sales while maintaining luxury market positioning. This role requires understanding of online marketplace platforms, branding, digital marketing, performance marketing, and knowledge of online luxury retail and digital platforms.

Primary Relationships

The position reports to the eCommerce Manager.

Within the organisation, this position will assist with the conception of campaigns, and management of online marketplaces, and has primary working relationships with the Design, PR, Marketing, Social, Operations, IT and Warehouse teams, as well as staff with similar roles within partner and franchise organisations.

Outside the organisation, the position coordinates primarily with vendors and service providers (enablers, advertising etc.) as well as customers from online marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of creative marketing plans aligned with the corporate strategy and brand image, across multiple marketplace platforms.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external teams including design, marketing, PR, social, to develop and implement marketplace related collaterals and plans.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with marketplace partners and stakeholders through regular contact.

• Continuously monitor, conduct regular reporting and data analysis to understand specific marketplace performance, identifying areas for improvements and optimisations.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce or a related field
• 2 – 4 years of proven experience in marketplace management, with track record of success in driving gross merchandise value GMV growth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent command of English
• Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
• Meticulous, adaptable, creative thinker who can work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously

Job Responsibilities:

Established in 2007, the SMU School of Social Sciences (SOSS) provides high quality undergraduate and graduate education expanding SMU’s pedagogical strategy to the study of society, government, and individuals embedded within an increasingly complex world. With faculty expertise and research spanning the disciplines of psychology, political science, sociology, and philosophy, SOSS’s research covers key thematic areas such as international development, policy and politics, Southeast Asian studies, social movements, and sustainability. The School aspires to make a significant and lasting contribution across sectors through its integrative approach to the study of social issues.

Sustainabilityforms a core research priority for SMU under its Vision 2025 research strategy. Sustainability is also a key focus for SOSS for our undergraduate program in Sustainable Societies as well as the Master of Sustainability (MST) launched in 2024. The new position will form a key part of the plans to consolidate the School of Social Science’s interdisciplinary contribution to research and teaching in sustainability.

Position:

The School of Social Sciences (SOSS) invites applications for (Assistant Professor) tenure track position in Sustainability, with a specific focus on environmental policy and governance, sustainable development, or environmental sociology to begin in July of 2025. The School is particularly interested in environmental social scientists with an established research and teaching repertoire or high potential for scholarly work on topics related to sustainability, including collaborative governance, the water-energy-food nexus, natural resource management, climate institutions and partnerships, and sustainability governance and analytics. Those with a research focus involving Asia are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate a high level of social science research excellence, appropriate to the rank of position to which they are applying.
