Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Associate in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The Department of O&G is dedicated to providing excellent and affordable care to patients, to support patient care through best-in-class medical practices informed by insights from cutting-edge clinical and translational research. Appointments will be made on a 2-year contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension into an administrative managerial position

Purpose of the post

The Research Associate will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to coordinate research projects under This position is to provide administrative support as a Research Associate to Prof Zhang Cuilin, Director of the Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health, NUS School of Medicine. The Centre is research-intensive and involves global collaborations to advance women’s health, particularly in administrative support so that projects may run smoothly and meet milestone targets. The Research Associate will work closely with Prof Zhang and various project stakeholders (e.g., PIs, RAs, clinics) to ensure successful project completion.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate will liaise with relevant stakeholders for participant recruitment and data collection and will be accountable to the Principal Investigator (PI). The Research Associate will be able to:

1. Support IRB application/administration & maintain Investigator Site File
2. Conduct study recruitment, answer general enquiries on study and checking of study eligibility
3. Conduct informed consent in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Responsible conduct of research (RCR) guidelines and the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA)
4. Scheduling of study screening and follow up visits
5. Perform study measurements, data and biological sample collection accordingly to SOPs
6. Maintain regular communication with other team members in different study sites
7. Manage research study databases, including data queries

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data collection based on medical records and data entry
2. Manage schedules of PIs, RAs, and recruitment subjects, so that projects will run optimally, incident-free, and without significant delays
3. Plan appropriate coordination strategies to manage project requirements
4. Provide effective and timely assistance to Director in managing her calendar and meetings to ensure smooth and organized workflow; Assist with matters related to Director’s participation in conferences/seminars and workshops

6. Able to develop his/her own research interest embedded in the Global Women’s Health Centre and conduct relevant study analysis for manuscripts

As a Nike Direct Athlete, you are passionate about Nike products and services. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all store Athlete roles, including but not limited to Service, Visual Presentation, and Stockroom. You will deliver the best possible service and attention to all consumers. Assist the team in executing all daily retail operations to ensure premium service and smooth store functioning. You will develop positive relationships with consumers and teammates and be an active member of the store community by attending and supporting store events. You will model reliability and flexibility by being able to work varied hours and days to meet the needs of the business. You will maintain knowledge of various store departments and be available to operate the cash register for regular transactions, perform shipping and receiving duties, stock the floor, perform cleaning duties, and build visual displays when necessary.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Must have or be pursuing a High School diploma or GED
• Able to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English
• Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods of time
• Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent customer service
• One or more years of customer service and/or retail experience preferred

Social Work Associate will be working with the youths staying in an institutional facility, which focus on community rehabilitation.

List of responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Conduct needs assessment to develop suitable programmes, developing risk assessment and manage risks involved in programmes.
• Plan for, lead and facilitate programmes- Implement appropriate assessment tools to develop and evaluate group work outcomes.
• Develop and plan group processes and specialised intervention strategies
• Facilitate, evaluate and review group therapy/therapeutic group work sessions to ensure relevance and effectiveness for the population of residents
• Apply restorative practices, including planning and facilitating a restorative circle
• Support case management, include preparing, and attending all necessary case-related meetings.
• Develop / maintain good working relationship with stakeholders, including parents and schools- Able to complete all the paperwork required.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Work with prior experience of mentoring and working with youths.
