RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN PUBLIC HEALTH
We are seeking a Research Associate to join a multi-disciplinary research team to conduct public health research, in particular in the area of women’s mental wellbeing.
The position provides the candidate a great opportunity to develop qualitative and quantitative research skills and work with international experts in public health policy, mental wellbeing, and maternal health. The job holder will be an integral part of a research project which examines the role of time use in the mental wellbeing of women with young children in Singapore. Responsibilities will include: literature review, qualitative and quantitative data collection, data analysis, and preparation of scientific papers. The job holder will work closely with Assistant Professor Yvette van der Eijk and members of her research team, as well as local experts in health research and policy.
This full-time position is based at the Tahir Foundation Building at National University of Singapore. The position has a 1 year contract in the first instance, with possibility of extension.
Requirements:
• Masters degree in public health/epidemiology, social sciences, or other relevant discipline.
• At least one year hands-on experience in quantitative data management and analysis using standard software programs (e.g. R, Stata, Python).
• At least one year hands-on experience in qualitative data management and analysis (e.g. semi-structured interview, focus group discussion).
• Keen interest in women’s mental wellbeing.
• Very good written and oral communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
