The D. E. Shaw group seeks talented individuals who are currently pursuing an MBA to join our strategy and business development (SBD) group as interns in our Hong Kong or Singapore offices. What you'll do day-to-day
You’ll help evaluate complex business questions that drive the firm’s long-term direction and growth opportunities. You’ll work to solve these problems by performing research and conducting rigorous analysis using both quantitative and qualitative methods. You might assess which markets our trading strategies should expand into, examine how and why certain investment trends emerge in Asia, or research where to open a new office. Candidates should be currently enrolled in a full-time MBA or similar graduate program and have a proven record of academic and professional achievement.

Corporate Tax

• Assist and support in providing tax compliance and advisory services to clients spanning various industries

Responsibilities

• Leading audit engagements, covering engagement planning, process review, preparation, and review of audit workpapers, audit finalisation reports and financial statements across a portfolio of diversified clients including multinational corporations
• Participating in cross-border engagements and group audits with group/component audit teams and/or Grant Thornton network teams

Qualifications and skills
