Why This Role Is Valuable
Associate, Treasury will be supporting the Treasury Operations in Revantage Asia. We work as a team and provide end to end Treasury Operations for Blackstone Real Estate Asia. We play an integral part in wide variety of disciplines including pre-acquisition (bank accounts/KYC), deal life cycle (distributions), disposals (movement of funds and closure of accounts), static data, compliance, and systems. We are looking for self-starter who is hands-on, able to handle stakeholders and information in a short turnaround time. Key Responsibilities
Treasury Operations
- Process urgent payments on WSS (our TMS solution) and banking platforms.
- Problem solving for any payment related issues.
- Confirmation and settlement of FX trades.
- Assisting users with any issues on the back end/systems when required.
- Monitor and follow up on various banking processes and security issues.
- Handling any ad-hoc enquiries relating to bank accounts.
- Keep the internal database up to date with new/closed bank accounts and signatory changes.
- Ensure data integrity is maintained to the highest standard in line with governance protocol.
- Responsible for cash related reporting for the Asian portfolio i.e. month end bank statements
- Liaise with Auditors and/or Banks for audit confirmation process.
- Support KYC refreshers and opening / closing of bank accounts for RE Asia
- Reach out to various banks and internal parties on required documents.
- Act as the primary contact for the Asian banks, maintain the relationships & respond to queries.
- Keep track of status and work towards targeted deadlines
Stakeholder Management
- Manage the operational relationship with Revantage Asia, Blackstone and Blackstone’s Banking Partners
- Liaise with Blackstone Business Finance Team for coordination of information and payments related matters.
Ad-hoc Projects and Improvement Initiatives
- Work with teams to identify and deliver on continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and optimize treasury operations processes.
- Support and participate in inhouse projects and system enhancements if any.
What You Bring To The Role
- University degree in Accountancy/Finance or relevant discipline with 3+ years in a Corporate Treasury/Cash Management function at a multinational corporation. Ideally, would possess exposure to or knowledge of middle/back office operations in RE/PE industry.
- An understanding of the Swift payment network and basic Swift messages relating to cash and cash reporting
- Fluent in English and Mandarin – to fill bank documents etc.
- Knowledge of any other language will be an advantage.
- Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, changing and complex environment.
- Attention to details; able to articulate and identify solutions in short span of time.
- Possess good understanding of financial instruments and products; and
- Being a team player, supporting one another in the team.
