We are looking for a Research Assistant or Research Associate to help to take our department’s research to the next level. The position of Research Assistant or Associate will be offered based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Job Description

The key responsibilities for the Research Assistant / Associate will include but are not limited to:

• Work with various Principal Investigators and Research Groups in the Department to document research achievements and produce research reports
• Conceptualisation and execution of research related content that will communicate the Department’s achievements on various communications and media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram and LinkedIn
• Day-to-day management of the Department’s media and communications platforms
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to conceptualise and organise research related events and programmes

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in the social sciences. A background in media, marketing and/ or communications is advantageous
• Prior experience in research writing, communication and dissemination
• Proven ability in digital communications and marketing, including social media engagement
• Self-driven, highly motivated, collaborative, and able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Willingness to acquire new skills

Responsibilities:

• Lead a project team and provide technical leadership on architectural design matters.
• Provide guidance to team members to ensure that design solutions are optimised in order to meet clients' requirements.
• Be involved in business development meetings to target specific markets, clients and project opportunities.
• Carry out architectural designs.
• Carry out feasibility studies and make design proposal presentations.
• Liaise with and discuss project-relevant issues with clients.
• Negotiate with contractors on design requirements and building progress.
• Oversee progress of on-site work; ensure project is built according to design plans and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Work with engineers and surveyors to make sure that the project meets the necessary standards.

• At least 4-6 years of working experience in the related field
• Proficient in BIM (Revit), Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop

• Meticulous and able to organise work effectively

Key responsibilities and qualifications as follows:

1. Engage in all architecture phases, from concept design through to completion, including contract administrator.
2. Work with other disciplines to produce fully coordinated project information, including BIM models, drawings, schedules, and specifications.
3. Deliver compelling and high-quality designs that reflect creative and innovative thinking, elevating the overall project vision.
4. Oversee large-scale projects, leveraging a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. International project experience is a significant advantage.
5. Collaborate effectively, work independently as needed and flexes to support the delivery of ad hoc requirements.
6. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Manage third-party contributions and ensure integration with the overall design process.
8. Use Adobe Suite, Rhino, Enscape, Revit proficiently.
9. Experience with Grasshopper or parametric design, hand sketching, and AI software is a plus.
10. Demonstrate strong graphic skills with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
11. Supports team members in delivering high-quality work on time and provides mentoring to junior colleagues to foster their growth and development.
