Job Scope and Description:
We’re looking for an energetic and organized HR Officer to join our team on a temporary 5-month basis
to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of
HR functions, from supporting staff development and recruitment to coordinating events and claims.
You’ll play a vital role in creating a positive workplace environment while growing your skills in a
supportive and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Staff Development and Training
- Coordinate and process staff training programs, including course registration, payments, and account setup (e.g., Opal platform).
- Support and organize key staff engagement events, such as the EAS Townhall and leadership workshops.
2. Recruitment and Onboarding
- Manage job postings and candidate shortlisting for various roles.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers, senior leaders, and stakeholders.
- Conduct reference checks and ensure all required documents are completed for successful candidates.
- Facilitate the Ministry of Education (MOE) Open Posting Exercise.
3. Employee Benefits and Insurance
- Maintain accurate staff insurance records and liaise with brokers on updates and claims.
- Assist staff with insurance claims processes, ensuring smooth communication with providers and timely submission of necessary documents.
- Address staff inquiries and guide them on claims-related matters.
4. Awards and Recognition Programs
- Manage award nomination processes and prepare materials, including certificates and presentations, for recipients.
- Oversee award-related payments and coordinate with vendors to source suitable gifts.
5. HR Operations and Claims Management
- Process employee claims (medical, dental, transport) and verify reimbursement reports.
- Collaborate with external vendors to streamline claims processing and resolve issues.
- Respond to staff inquiries and improve administrative efficiency for HR processes.
6. Event Planning and Coordination
- Organize and coordinate key school events, including the Teachers’ Day Lunch, ensuring seamless execution.
- Prepare materials, such as scripts and certificates, and manage event logistics.
7. General HR Administration
- Manage staff passes, including synchronization and issuance.
- Support school initiatives, such as study subsidies and meeting arrangements, ensuring timely follow-through.
Qualifications:
- Admin/HR Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Prior experience working in Administration or HR department
