The successful candidate will analyse an integrated data set and conduct numerical modelling to estimate ExSL events in Singapore. Further to this, they will work on a review of current floating GNSS systems and current measurement techniques. They will also investigate best practices for communicating ExSL potential future impacts in Singapore. The successful candidate will have a Masters’ degree in Earth Science, natural hazards, remote sensing, geodesy, computer science, data science, or a related subject. Most importantly they will have enthusiasm to engage in the research work of our group, and a passion for making Southeast Asia a safer and more sustainable place for all communities in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret extreme sea level (ExSL) data from regional tide gauge networks.
• Conduct numerical modeling of ExSL, including to use numerical modeling techniques to model future events.
