Your new role

As Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Working with local business partners to ensure the transformation agenda is understood.
• Lead the technical and functional development of the applications
• Gathering requirement and full project management cycle of the solution implementation.
• Drive the adoption as well as governance of the enterprise solutions.
• Participate in develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Document project processes, regularly review and update project documentation to reflect the evolving project landscape.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree in information systems or Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
• Expertise and hands on experience with ERP systems, particularly in Finance modules, including configuration and customization with business systems.
• Knowledge of SAP FI/CO, GL, AP, AR, AA and COPA to perform role as in-house Business Solution expert.
• Regional implementation and operations support experience in SAP FI/CO is a must.
• Good industry knowledge of retail and trading sector will be added value.
• PMP Certified or other project management related certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges and optimize ERP solutions
• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, ASP.NET, VB Net,
• Well-organised, attention to detail, ability to multi-task.
• Problem-solving skills (analysis, options, driving decision).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description

KPMG Tax Services assists organisations with their tax compliance obligations and help to enhance their commercial value through tax planning, and incorporating tax strategies into an overall business strategy. As part of the integrated global network, the Transfer Pricing Practice in Singapore provides transfer pricing planning, documentation, audit defense, dispute resolution and Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) solutions to large multinational clients.

The role involves:
• Partnering our clients to understand their financial circumstances and organisational objectives and develop effective business solutions tailored to their transfer pricing needs
• Managing the delivery of transfer pricing engagements and identifying opportunities for transfer pricing and other services

The ideal candidate should possess:

Responsibilities

Technical Accounting Advisory:

• Provide expert advice on complex accounting issues, including IFRS and Singapore GAAP, helping clients navigate challenges such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial instruments.
• Assist clients in the preparation of accounting memos and technical position papers on accounting treatments for complex transactions.
• Guide clients through the adoption of new accounting standards and compliance with changes in financial reporting regulations.

Financial Statements Preparation:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, Singapore GAAP).
• Review financial disclosures to ensure they meet regulatory and stakeholder expectations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and completeness.
• Lead the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, coordinating with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Assist in implementation of automated statutory reporting tools.

MAS Regulatory Reporting:

• Ensure clients’ financial reporting meets the regulatory requirements set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), including regulatory returns and MAS-specific financial reports.
• Provide technical guidance on MAS regulatory frameworks, assisting clients in managing regulatory changes and ensuring ongoing compliance.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build strong relationships with client finance teams, senior management, and regulatory bodies, providing insights on technical accounting and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including audit, tax, and advisory, to deliver holistic services to clients and address their technical accounting and MAS reporting needs.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering their development in accounting and regulatory reporting.
• Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery across financial reporting and regulatory compliance projects.

Business Development:

• Identify and capitalise on opportunities to expand technical accounting and MAS reporting services for new and existing clients.
• Assist in the development of business proposals and participate in client presentations, supporting the growth of the CFO Advisory practice.
• Contribute to thought leadership initiatives on financial reporting and regulatory compliance topics, particularly in relation to MAS requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

• Required degree in Accounting or Finance and completed qualification for Singapore CA or international equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 year of progressive audit experience, or experience in providing Accounting services (bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, accounting advise etc) in a large or mid-tier accounting firm.
• Experience in MAS reporting preferred
• Knowledge of accounting standards and financial concepts
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, XERO accounting software and report writing software.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.

• Assist in managing and reviewing relationships with the firm’s service providers – custodian, brokers, fund administrator, etc.
