Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Review and check that all works comply fully with contract drawings and documents, and approved shop drawings.
· Report to Resident Architect and Engineer regularly on progress of works and evaluate the ongoing performance of contractor and brief project team accordingly.
· Work closely with Resident Architect and Engineer to ensure all regulatory authorities requirements are complied with and implemented.
· Implement and sustain the site supervision quality & safety assurance system.
· Understand and interpret drawings and contract documents, and resolve site and technical issues.
· Spot and foresee potential issues, and preempt abortive works by identifying non-compliance at an early stage, followed by close coordination with QP to resolve the details for timely progress of works.
· Carry out regular site checks on contractors and ensure compliance with health and work safety per MOM regulations.
· Attend site progress, technical, client-consultant, variation, coordination meetings etc., with the project team and client.
· Ensure that proper site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, as-built submissions etc., are well managed and relayed.
· Assist the Resident Architect and Engineer in carrying out supervision works on site and also assist in supervising & co-ordination with other consultants’ site staff.
· Quality control of all civil, structural and architectural works such as inspecting materials and workmanship and performing tests to check the quality of materials.
· Prepare defects snagging list, monitor the progress of rectification works and ensure all the defects are satisfactorily rectified.
· To ensure all the contractor’s works are in statutory compliance; Provide full-time supervision of structural works in large building works.
· Assist in the review of contractor's method statements and working procedures and ensure that contractor proceeds in accordance to approved method statement.
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of site experience in the supervision of various types of developments. Good knowledge of the conservation trade and restoration techniques, experience in GFRC construction is an added advantage. Experience in architectural finishes required.
· Must be accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC).
· Possess a complete understanding of local regulations/ codes for building projects, and complying with BCA's criteria for buildability and safety assurance systems.
