We are looking for a project officer to work on the project titled "Optical Innovations in Stereochemistry: Developing Diverse Optical Strategies for Enantiomer Separation”. The project officer will be working on the development of various optical modalities that will enable the separation and detection of enantiomers. The position requires knowledge in stereochemistry, enantiomers, micro-fluidics, free-space optics and integrated optics.
Key Responsibilities:
- The identification of socially important enantiomers for separation and detection (i.e. Thalidomide).
- Develop chiral optical devices and systems necessary that selectively imparts energy to the desired enantiomer.
- Implement hybrid micro-fluidic/optical flow systems.
- Develop test setups for micro-fluidic/optical test setups.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Understanding of photonics devices, and systems.
- Ability to publish in academic journals, and present in conferences.
- Ability to work well in a team, and collaborate with other research groups.
- Knowledgeable in Matlab, and Python.
