• Implement and update employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring alignment and compliance with the organization’s core values, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide advice and partnership as a point of contact in handling employee relations
• Manage and resolve any employee or workplace issues, grievances, and disciplinary cases.
• Handle operational matters for off-boarding
• Provide HR advisory service to employees and stakeholders in all operational related matters and to ensure smooth resolution on HR queries
• Handle and follow up on employee-employer related matters independently
• Handle all government statutory surveys and Corppass administrations
• Recommend and implement improvements for HR & Admin processes and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency
• Facilitate HR functions which include Staffing, Compensation and Benefits, Welfare, etc.
• To take on HR improvement projects and other adhoc projects as assigned

About you:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experience in handling full spectrum of HR & administrative roles, preferably in marine industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiar with Workday system is an advantage
• Familiar with Singapore Labour Law & Employment Act
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with employees
• Responsible to follow through work matters consistently
• Self-starter, resourceful and possess a curious nature to dig further to learn new knowledge

Requirements:

* Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

* At least 2 years of experience in HR administration or shared services.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. People Development and Successor Planning：Make sure the core competencies management of the company is in the place and followed up with successor and people development plan.

Ensure that continual development of all staff in HR department, in order to reach full departmental performance.

2. Organization Development：Review the organization structure together with line manager when necessary and give professional advice. Provide internal consulting and support team building processes.

3. Labor Compliance：Ensure the labour and ethics management of the company is compliant with labor requirements. Health & Safety Environment Compliance and Zero lost time injury control.

4. Recruitment：-To ensure the recruiting request is met according to the recruiting plan.
-To ensure internal recruitment is implemented at all level.

-To ensure PI, PLI survey and Job Pro are used in recruitment.
-Hiring procedure is followed.

5. Training Management：To make sure the yearly training plan exist based on the business needs and company goal. Make sure that after training evaluation and follow up is existed. Ensure On Job Training provides qualified and skillful operators to production.

6. Benefit & Compensation：Ensure Mercer system (job classification) is used and salary survey is done regularly. Competitive welfare is in the place to keep good employee stay.

7. Performance Appraisal & Bonus System：Facilitate performance appraisal system and ensure all relevant persons are trained in the system and appraisal skills.
Assist department managers on skills analysis and improvement and training where appropriate for their teams.

8. Employee Relation Management：Ensure that legislation and case law is interpreted and understood by management team and adhered to by company.

Ensure engagement satisfaction survey is conducted regularly. Improvement plan will be produced based on the survey. Produce or co-ordinate briefings to workforce. Facilitate workforce presentations.

Job Requirements

• At least a Degree in Business Studies with minimum 5 years of working experience in HR/Admin related capacity.
• Possess good interpersonal and able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Possess labor knowledge of Malaysia is added advantages.
• Good knowledge and experience in Employment Act and HR related matters.
• Able to liaise with government departments in relates to HR/statutory matters/issues.
• Proficient in both written and spoken in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
• Generate payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Manage submissions to IRAS, including annual income tax reporting and other required filings.
• Ensure timely and accurate CPF contributions in line with local regulations.
• Coordinate applications, renewals, and cancellations of work passes via MOM systems.
• Maintain up-to-date records of work pass statuses and expiry dates.
• Oversee the leave application process and ensure leave records are accurately maintained.
• Address employee inquiries related to leave policies and entitlements.
• Prepare certified letters, memos, and other official HR documents as required.
• Maintain accurate and organized employee records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant HR experience, particularly in payroll and work pass applications.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and statutory requirements (IRAS, CPF, MOM).
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
