Responsibilities:

• Ensure delivery of audit and assurance services for stakeholders, in line with the agreed standards
• Conduct independent audits wherever required
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and auditees to ensure smooth conduct of audit engagements
• Develop trusting relationships with external parties including external auditors and regulatory authorities
• Timely and quality completion of audits according to established timeline
• Support Audit Committee processes
• Ensure Internal Audit adhere to applicable auditing standards and is compliant with the relevant laws and regulations
• Achieve Audit KPIs on timeliness, quality, and CPE
• Leverage on technology for optimal efficiency of audit processes and contribute to the enhancement of system capabilities
• Collaborate with auditees/HODs for smooth conduct of audits and identification of practical and viable remedial actions
• Support and enable the maintenance of an effective control environment within the department

Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Post qualification internal/external audit work experience of at least 5 years with a minimum of 2 years in auditing general insurance companies
• Insurance qualification will be an advantage
• Salary will commensurate with actual relevant experience; pay range indicated serves only as a guide
• Self-driven with a strong sense of urgency and desire to learn and excel
• Ability to work independently, yet humble with a good sense on when to reach out to other for guidance and/or collaboration
• Some years spent in a Big 4 / external audit would be advantageous, with an understanding on the importance of quality workpapers documentation
• Awareness of insurance regulatory environment in Singapore and the principles of risk management
• Familiarity with control design and control operation
• Analytical with excellent communication, organisation and planning capabilities
