A Personal Trainer Assistant (PTA) is to closely monitor all activities on the fitness floor and assist his/her Supervisor as needed.

PTA is responsible for following the rules and policies of the fitness center ensuring the safety and exercise efficacy of all fitness areas through education on weight room etiquette, proper strength and resistance training techniques, correct use of fitness equipment, maintaining cleanliness and proper functioning of all fitness equipment and areas, conduct fitness assessments and delivering fitness training programs, as well as enforcement of all user policies and procedures.

He/she also possesses good customer service skills essential for building long-term customer relationships.

Job Description

• Encourage clients to adopt the right technique for exercises based on the training methodology of the Company.
• Explain and demonstrate the right techniques to execute various exercises safely.
• Protect the safety and well-being of each client while providing the best service possible.
• Ensure clients execute the right techniques for each exercise in a safe and effective manner involving good and clear instruction of the critical components of each exercise, and proficiency in identifying the client’s execution errors, correcting those mistakes in execution and adjusting exercises when needed.
• Explain and enforce Safety Rules and Regulations in the Company as part of the industry preventive standards of safe COVID measures.
• Clean, oil and sanitize the equipment thoroughly to maintain their usability as well as free of health and safety hazards.
• Able to operate and adjust machines correctly as well as render first aid when required.
• Report all maintenance issues to the Supervisors and submit reports for broken or damaged equipment to the Supervisors.
• Source for quotations from suppliers and vendors for maintenance jobs when required by Company including arrangement for maintenance works with vendors.
• Assist the Supervisors in the appointment bookings and any necessary administrative duties as assigned.
• Complete the list of errands on time as assigned by Supervisors.

Job Description

Requirements:

* 3 N Levels / 1 O Level / WPLN 5 x Level 5

• Location: Penjuru Lane
• Salary: $2,800 - $3,500
• Working days: Monday - Friday
• Working hours: 8:30am – 5.30pm

Responsibilities

• Handling of the fleet requisitions, sourcing and making the necessary arrangement for delivery to the vessels
• Monitoring and controlling of the vessels consumables to prevent unnecessary wastage
• To keep track of the cargo hoses registry, lifting gears registry and PPE of all shipboard personnel
• Monitoring of the vessels LSA and FFA
• Appointed as safety committee member to carry out tool-box meetings for all the vessels
• To arrange and co-ordinate between crew and clinic for medical appointment or consultation and monitoring of the vessels’ medical supplies as per statutory requirements
• Preparation of crew employment contract
• Application of flag state endorsements, Harbour craft licence renewal, etc, via MPA and Digiport, ensuring compliance with regulations of all relevant authorities and the certification of all vessels is maintained in accordance with the relevant Class and Flag State requirements
• To maintain the personnel files for all crew members and ensure all member files are comprehensive with current documentation of crew credentials that being updated accordingly in a timely manner
• To assist in planning and oversees the assignment of the officers and ratings for the fleet, crew change rotations, ensuring that rotations are executed in a timely basis, the vessels are properly manned and updated as per MPA requirements via Digiport
• Sourcing, recruitment and carry out initial interview of the ship crews
• Providing induction training/ orientation to all newly join ship crews
• Providing general support to the ship staffs and making schedule visits to vessels for crewing matters
• Any other fleet management related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the management

Job Requirements

• Relevant working experience in similar capacity.
• Possession of Class 3 driving license will be an advantage.
• To be contactable 24/7 and be available to board the vessels as and when required
• Proficient with computer software
