What You Will Be Doing

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with CESG leadership and project leads to drive CESG's evidence-based projects from development and implementation to reporting and communication phases.
• Manage CESG's research and evidence-based projects, including project administration, research design, literature review, data collection and analysis, documentation, reporting, and post-project engagement
• Develop, support and/or co-lead new projects relating to CESG's strategic priorities
• Plan and coordinate community outreach and advocacy activities
• Provide cross-functional support in CESG and SUSS activities

Job Requirements

• At least 3-5 years' work experience
• Graduate degree with strong people, administrative and logistics skills
• Prior experience in social science research and/or evidence-informed community-based projects
• Good research and analytical skills, with field experience and familiarity with methodological approaches and data analysis
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines - prior experience in project and resource management

About the Role

• In this role, you will be responsible for Full sets of Accounts for clients' portfolio.

You will be responsible for:

• Closing of accounts, preparation of management accounts and financial statements for clients’ entities.
• Preparation and generation of required accounting reports and schedules for audit.
• Preparation of GST return for clients’ entities and ensuring that clients GST treatment for their transactions are correct.
• Preparation of simplified/full XBRL.
• Preparation of tax returns for clients’ entities.
• Assist clients on tax issues, act as a point of contact for tax-related issues/queries for both clients personal and Corporate Income Tax.
• Handle tax compliance issue and computations for individual and Corporate Tax.
• Prepare monthly CPF submission, and CorpPass related issues for clients’ entities..
• Maintain good client engagement, provide prompt response to clients’ requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in related to all aspects of the services provided.
• Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior.

What We Are Looking for

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting.
• Obtained or currently pursuing professional Accounting qualification is a plus.
• Prior experience in the local Accounting firm is a great advantage.
• Must be pro-active, a good team player, able to work under pressure and independently.
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask incoming inquiries and manage priorities in a fast-paced working environment.

Career Description:

Independently handle a portfolio of Singapore private limited companies' clients for routine bookkeeping, payroll processing, GST, Corporate Tax and XBRL filing and meet ACRA and IRAS filing deadlines.
Assist clients in preparing their monthly, quarterly, or annual management accounts.
Responsible for preparing Unaudited Financial Statements (UFS) for the clients following Singapore FRS (Financial Reporting Standards).
Assist clients with the preparation of quarterly GST returns, annual tax computations, and Form C or Form C-S and Appendices for submission to the IRAS.
Liaise with and advise clients on on-going company's bookkeeping, payroll related, ACRA and IRAS related matters.
Assist the Managers to guide and/or review Executives’ work in handling day to day business outsourcing services.
Support the Managers in the transition of the accounting, GST, Corporate Tax transfer records from the take-over business and on boarding of new clients.
Assist the Managers to implement new software, improve SOP, workflows and processes and ensure the team comply with relevant statutory acts and filing deadlines.
Work as a team member by sharing responsibilities, providing support and maintaining communication with colleagues on an effective and efficient basis
Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients; and
Liaise with external parties and service providers of our clients, where necessary.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or a professional qualification under ACCA, SCAQ and ICAEW schemes
Minimum 2-3 years accounting/audit work experience in a public accounting firm
Conversant and understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Company Act
Proactive, committed and a team player
Technology savvy, excellent interpersonal, written & oral communication and analytical skills.
Possess initiative and ability to work independently
