About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand Communications Manager to lead and integrate our external and internal communications strategies with a strong focus on brand management. This role is pivotal in shaping and communicating our corporate identity, fostering employee engagement, and driving public perception. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in PR, media relations, content creation, and brand strategy to deliver impactful, cohesive messaging across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
External Communications & Public Relations
- Develop and implement PR strategies as part of an integrated marketing plan to achieve overall business objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact for media, responding to media inquiries and escalating to senior leadership when appropriate.
- Handle all media relations, proactively pitching story angles and company updates, and maintaining a database of key APAC media contacts.
- Develop and edit news releases, speeches, articles, interviews, and other editorial content.
- Design and execute crisis communication strategies and manage real-time responses.
- Undertake active media monitoring to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Internal Communications
- Develop and implement an internal communications strategy to align employees with the company’s mission, vision, and brand identity.
- Create and manage internal communication channels (newsletters, intranet, town halls, etc.).
- Collaborate with HR to enhance employee engagement through storytelling and branding initiatives.
- Support leadership communication, crafting messages, presentations, and engagement strategies for internal audiences.
Brand Management
- Oversee the development and implementation of the overarching brand strategy, ensuring alignment across all internal and external channels.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand application across all content, marketing materials, and communications.
- Manage the company’s brand voice and identity guidelines, ensuring adherence in all touchpoints.
- Conduct regular brand audits and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen brand equity.
Content Development & Digital Strategy
- Support content development and management across all channels, including the website, social media, campaigns, newsletters, and marketing collaterals.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate brand messaging into campaigns and other initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to refine content strategies and maximize impact.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the CEO and leadership team in engagements with external stakeholders, including media appearances and key events.
- Partner with internal departments (e.g., HR, marketing, product) to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
Strategic Insights & Reporting
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to inform strategic decisions and enhance communication approaches.
- Analyze the effectiveness of communication and branding strategies, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Corporate Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in integrated communications, including PR, media relations, and brand management.
- Demonstrated success in managing internal and external communications with measurable impact.
- Expertise in social media channels and digital communication tools.
- Experience with crisis communication and reputation management.
- Strong commercial acumen; experience in financial or fintech industries is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and external agencies.
- Strong understanding of branding principles and their application in a corporate setting.
- Analytical mindset with experience in tracking and optimizing communication strategies using KPIs.
